I don’t think it was anything special nor do i think it was non existent. I don’t think it was any different than any of the other half dozen S/C programs we had under some other coaches. Things got highlighted bc of a select few players that didn’t buy in and thought they were bigger than UT. The vast majority of the team was still getting their work in which is why you had players perform well even in Pruitts first year. When you get to this level it’s more about the individual players being committed and putting the time and work in especially in the off season than it is who is running the program bc you’re gonna be working with the S/C assistants more than the head guy. Guys like Byron, monatrio hardesty before etc. but with butch letting some guys get away with slacking on workouts it set a bad example and further added to the toxic culture that had been building. It’s more of a cultural problem in my eyes than it ever was about physical strength or speed.
You can’t. If I’m Pruitt. I’m not letting anyone know anything about Maurer and letting SC believe JG is playing. Then repping Shrout, JJ, and any walk on all week with as many reps as possible. Then either start Maurer or Shrout. I could care less if JG hits the portal. He brings nothing to our team but losses.I don’t know how they can trust him ever again.
You must love getting your nuts powerbombed on the reg. I got better things to do than watch Mooschump eat up what will be a one dimensional joke of an offense led by a guy the team and fans are waaaaay beyond sick of...I just can't do it.We’re only guaranteed 12 of these Saturdays a year.
I’m not ever taking it for granted.
Eh. Lawsons assistant took over. They were doing virtually the same things. You had some divas that took advantage of a no back bone staff but for the most part the players still worked hard. That’s really over blown imo. Was it a problem? Absolutely. But some people act like we never even picked up a weight.
It will be a loss.If Chaney didn't trust JG before, wait till Saturday. He'll manage JG with an iron fist and we'll rely on the run, which will be tough sledding against SCAR's defensive front. And the crowd will be surly once JG trots out there. But the OL is playing better, and we'll have both HenryT and Bituli for the whole game (hopefully), so if we can keep it low scoring, our running game could be enough. But... Chaney will probably have to loosen up and let JG throw.
It will be horrible and you know it.Running and kicking. Run enough to get in FG range, rely on Cimaglia's leg and trust the D to hold them. Limit penalties, win the turnover margin and fix the punting. Rely on JG to manage the game and don't ask him to do too much. And hope the crowd brings the energy, no matter who's the QB.
If it was at big of a problem you wouldn’t have had guys playing in the nfl shortly after or being quality players under Pruitt early. You aren’t gonna change your body that quickly. Don’t Let lazy ass Eric Crosby represent the whole team. Look at savion Williams or Elijah Simmons with their shirts off lolDude,
Looking at them tells me it was a hugh problem.
Yea, the double standard in officiating is ridiculous and should be an embarrassment to the SEC office. The screwing the vols received is getting some national attention. I have no doubt that the SEC has been complicit in this for a long time. I think they are aware they've crossed the line to the point it was obvious in the TN game.Tua was tackled. Maurer was deliberately injured.
In the words of Karma: "'Big Mr. 16-44,' a.k.a. Tua should have been made an absolute cripple on the first defensive snap following. Both ankles and both arms, would have been generous. 11 on 1 and who cares if they scored."
Of course I do not say this myself.
By the way, there were magnificent bammer holds on that sack of Tua. Bammer holds every down.
The problem is that is the game bammer needed to get to the playoffs. Fairly called, we win that game, then LSU eliminates bammer.Yea, the double standard in officiating is ridiculous and should be an embarrassment to the SEC office.
