Gun control debate (merged)

I figured out the 2A people. They are afraid of what an expanded BG check would do with their ability to own the best gun available for cheap. Some of those with felonies and crimes of the past will and should have restricted rights. They do in every other aspect of life. So you people don't even know who your advocating for . It's the what's best for me approach and not society. I feel for you people, and I think you should have a path to that enhanced weapon of your choice, but to advocate them being passed out like Halloween candy and everyone should have one is insane. Taking out the responsibility of being accountable.

You shouldn’t drink on a Monday Mic . I can’t believe that even you would call your fellow Americans “ 2a people “ . That’s like me calling you and your kind a 1a person . There’s nothing to figure out it’s really quiet simple , we have rights , people like yourself don’t think we should be able to exercise those rights . So all that’s left to do is get a bunch and I do mean sh!t ton of your buddies together and change the constitution . Good luck , until then there’s nothing really for you to do but whine about it .

I think the issue they have with the expanded background check is privacy concerns and the existence of a federal database of gun owners, which should never exist.

People that have served their time should be able to vote and own a gun. They've paid their debt to society.

We are a violent, gun filled country. The cat is out of the bag, and there isn't much we can do about it at this point.

Supreme court already ruled on this. The Constitution does not give you the right to arm yourself with whatever you want. "regulated" is the word that rings out. I grew up with .22's, shotguns, rifles, and handguns. They all have a purpose. I have an AR because I can. Handguns for the regulated CC people, .22 for the kids, rifles for hunting, and shotguns for home defense. You're the one thumping your chest calling it a right. Refer to line one and two of my post

Did they decide the AR fell into that “ can’t have anything I want category” ? I must have missed that when it became the hottest selling rifle in America . Like I said.. if you don’t like it , change it .

I don't think you have ever said "if you don't like it , change it" You're usually screeching "suck it, I got mine."

Spot on .

I don’t screech it , I just exercise my 1a right to tell you that you aren’t getting my 2a right .

I bet all of that gibberish sounded good in your head.

1. once a person does their time all of their rights should be restored
2. the best thing for society is to respect and treasure the rights of the individual

You haven't figured out Jack 💩.

These 2A people you refer to are not responsible for the issues you're attempting to single out. Several million gun owners pass current laws on the books every time they decide to purchase a new firearm.

When it comes to anyone with a felony attempting to purchase firearms, the NCIC is in place for those restrictions.

Anything else on "shall not be infringed" I can assist you with?

Police Seize Guns From Man Thought to be Neo-Nazi Leader

This guy hasn’t been charged with any crimes, but all his guns were taken and now authorities are trying to find out if there’s anything they can charge him with. This is that slippery slope of the red-flag laws.
Complete crap that people are having their rights denied because of potential.

I am not typically one to say the Dems are anti American. But these red flag laws are as bad as it gets.

Nothing to worry about. What are the rights of a few people if it might maybe somehow potentially slightly reduce the risk of someone getting shot.

Just think how safe we could be if we took away ALL the rights.
Let's start scheduling labotimies while we are at it. That'll squash any rebellious independent thinkers.

Doesn't look like the gun did the work. Quote from the story:

”Cox apparently called police to alert them of the attempted burglary, prompting Nyemah to flee the scene and lead officers on a pursuit."

That's one thing you gun-humpers often fail to realize. Methods much less risky than guns can be equally effective in protecting your home from invasion, like motion sensing lights, dogs, alarm systems, cameras, etc. But I guess those aren't manly enough for you.

Who said anything about manly?
