I have front row tickets to Carolina with my dad next week & Im dreading what will happen at QB. Maurer getting 2 concussions in two weeks is no joke, he might legit be done for the year. But after Pruitt scared the **** out of JG does he have any confidence or interest in playing at all? Shrout looked like straight cheeks so I cant imagine they start him. Is it just a week of telling the OL they better run block their ass all game?

Question and please tell me I’m wrong, but I heard if someone gets a third concussion they are recommended to stop playing sports. Is there truth to this? If so, then I’m even more worried about Maurer since he has two now probably.
He doesn’t have two. This would be his first.

JG still locks on to one guy. If they aren’t open he gets sacked. I saw several plays last night guys running around with no defender in site. Tim (Jim according to Levy) Jordan comes to mind. We were on or close to 10-15 yard line. He probably walks in.

Levy also kept calling JJ Jenkins. He was awful and should stick to Sports center. You can tell he only bothered to learn enough about UT to make fun of us. McShay and the broad joining in the cigar celebration was unprofessional.

When was the last time that our D was more physical than BAMAs? That was great. Even with Tua in the game, our guys were going toe to toe with the best receiver group in the country. I liked how Tank played...kid hits hard.

Carvin, Morris and Wright are great pieces to build around. If Kennedy and Trey Smith come back we might have the best starting 5 OL in the country next year.

Emerson, Gooden and Solomon will be a good D-line, especially if Simmons progresses. LBs look good. QB looks good for the future...just need receivers and TEs to develop and the next couple years could be very special. We are much closer than people realize.

Im sure you guys have seen this by now but I just had a moment of being completely dumbfounded by JG again. You can clearly see that if he just hands it off to Crouch its a walk in TD. Imagine being so arrogant you change the call from a play that JUST worked to trying to sneak it in over the line. Please tell me he isnt our QB against USC.

Ignore Wolken's text and watch JG's body language. The more I watch this, the more JG looks like he's satisfied with himself. He's casually strutting back to the sideline like he did exactly what he wanted to do and is completely ignoring Pruitt. I don't see how he can look that casual like nothing bad at all happened after that.

Of course, it's Wolken. Never has any yellow journalist had as big a bias against anything as Wolken does against us

That official last night looked a little bit like @David Ubben

Crouch would have walked in.

I think people missed this, and it makes sense (this guy has to be a doctor)

Thanks for this, as I assume you had inside info, and this explanation makes way more sense. Watching the MS game, concussion just didn't make sense, as there was relatively gentle head impact, but then he hyperextended his neck with all his weight adding to the force of the fall going straight down the axis of the spinal cord with his cervical spine in a position where it couldn't carry a load. He then grabbed his upper neck. That's a good mechanism for either a teardrop or C1 burst fracture. I was initially quite relieved to see him moving all 4 limbs. After he was taken out but kept nonchalantly on the sideline, neck sprain, disc herniation or pinched nerve seemed most likely given the mechanics and overall lack of concern for more serious injury by medical staff. Then tonight, he falls backwards into the back of the OL thigh/knee. Again, soft head impact into a pretty soft area of the OLs body, but got hyperflexed. Hopefully just exacerbated a sprain and was held out as a precaution, and will need an MRI to confirm no ligamentous damage, worsened disc herniation or instability before being cleared.

Props to CP for taking the heat on that, but seeing this over and over nauseates me! Can’t imagine how disgusted CP and the team is with JG right now?!
