Careful...moral victory police are on the streets getting that end of month quota!Ladies and gentlemen, I woke up this morning proud, and not because of the deer jerky I made. Those boys fought hard last night and gave us their all. I love where this team is headed and has grown since the first game. Find us a qb and let's go win some damn games.
Which is what some of us have been saying on here for 3 years. It's just not that hard to see. His first year they did not allow him to do it, they had to call audibles from the sideline. He cannot pre-snap read D's - at all - and is terrible with coverage reads.
So they should have stopped trotting him out there at least two years ago. Let him leave, transfer, take up the guitar, whatever. It's a recruiting failure by Botch to take him. However, the team and us have to live with it because Pruitt did not raise the profile of Shrout to back-up QB sooner or even have recruited a second QB the same year as Shrout. Chryst was not the answer and never got a real shot at it anyway.
It's a sad story of failure. It's a media and UT promotion failure to have pushed JG as the next great Vol QB, then the same media clowns chew him up and spit him out when he fails. The hype doesn't help until the QB proves it on the field. After that happens then it does help attract better players to the roster. JG will have to live with failure at UT all of his life because he was pushed to play when he was not capable. We get to live with his failures as memories. The coaches take it on the chins for failures during their careers. It's a bad deal all around because one bad HC recruits a key player clearly without the skillset and with sketchy success in a non-football power state; and another decides he can make something out of him anyway.
@David Ubben you weak-knee'd bitch. Meet me at Waffle House and you can count the ways you get your hash browns, smothered, covered, and scattered
Agree...how many times do players subtly place their hands on a player to get off a pile...just about every run play. How else do you get up. Guess you now have to roll off guys but if his foot touched him, they probably would have called kicking.Except it wasn't. Totally ridiculous BS call and you know it.
My God people. Playing HS football in the 80’s I had a coach kick me square in the ass coming off the field.
I deserved it
My mom was pissed..... at me for that stupid penalty that caused him to kick me![]()
I can see how coaches would feel like there is something to work with in JG. He has physical tools and doesn't appear stupid.
His problem is how he deals with pressure....he panics. I'm not talking about blitzes, I'm talking pressure situations in games.
I'm sure it's frustrating to JG and everyone around him. Maybe he needs Valium before games. Apparently he doesn't feel the same pressure in practice so he looks great.
Hey y'all. No idea why that tweet has people so mad or feeling like I'm "trolling" fans. There were about a million things that didn't go Tennessee's way. It's what I thought a very clear reference on the game. It's not a comment on any fans in any way and I'm legitimately floored anyone took it that way. I wrote about a handful of the most impactful missed calls after the game.
Anyway, hope y'all are well. Enjoy the rest of the season and thanks for reading and subscribing.
