I can see how coaches would feel like there is something to work with in JG. He has physical tools and doesn't appear stupid.
His problem is how he deals with pressure....he panics. I'm not talking about blitzes, I'm talking pressure situations in games.
I'm sure it's frustrating to JG and everyone around him. Maybe he needs Valium before games. Apparently he doesn't feel the same pressure in practice so he looks great.
Don’t pretend to see positivity in a game against the top ranked team in which they usually put in their backups before halftime. That’s weak and means you’re the reason our team is mired in mediocrity!Don't believe in moral victories but that doesn't mean you can't find positives from a negative. Negative, we lost. Positive, we looked damn good doing it at times. Gives me hope for real victories in the future.
He clearly out coached the talent disparity yesterday but I think we saw a lot of our best players are fresh and sophomores. I think even in that loss you have a lot to sell recruits and how about Tim f****** Jordan? Dude is playing hard and I like seeing that. If this team keeps fighting and they play like that they will win 6 games.Pruitt earned a lot of cred with me yesterday.
And yet he is remarkably talented picking up 3rd and long. Odd.
One of the biggest complaints I've seen since he was hired is him being a Bammer. I don't know how anyone else feels, but the three time outs to mess with the kicker knocked that Bammer taint off of him in my eyes, lol. Loved it, and laughed hysterically.Pruitt earned a lot of cred with me yesterday.
I think it's because those are usually situations where the defense is blitzing. Most of his best plays have come with defensive pressure.
It really is strange. He really is the opposite of most QBs.
I really think he is a humble, fragile kid who felt the need to to act cocky to play the game. He has messed with his own head and it's sad.
Wish him the best for the future in whatever he does outside of football and I hope he gets past his failures while at UT. I understand why he wanted to play for UT but he just isn't cut out for it.... would have probably had a solid career at Rutgers where college football just isn't as important.
