I hate Jeremy but love Tennessee. I’m conflicted because would love to see him fired but would hate it because him failing is horrible for the program I love. Just going to back away and watch and enjoy the show however it plays out with no emotion while I wait for basketball. Much like watching a drama on TV.
At least you're honest about it...1569677108985.gif

What do you think Tennessee needs to do offensively and defensively in order to have a chance to upset Georgia?
We have to be able to run the football. If we can't get them to bring some guys up in the box, we're on trouble. The play action game it's about all JG has, and is horribly ineffective without a run game. Work the quick game early and often. Bubble and tunnel screens to JJ, swings to Chandler, etc. Need to see some misdirection, and maybe trap a little more inside. Teams at this point know all we run is a stretch, inside zone, and toss.

P5 #CFB Teams underachieving in 2019 with a lot of talent. (2 or More Losses or 1 Bad Loss)

Number of 4 & 5⭐ Recruits on each Roster.

Stanford - 29
Miami - 33
Tennessee - 35
FSU - 39
Michigan - 39
Texas A&M - 41

This does not account for experience. Take the extremes: Would 11 freshmen 5 stars beat 11 senior 3 stars?

I say let JT sling the rock
I think slinging it in general is part of the problem...

Need to run the ball more... Not necessarily be stubborn about it... But it needs to be more of a priority.... Have to win 1st down more than we do.

That's been a problem for a long time...waay too many 2 & 7+ and 3rd and longs...

We've had periods of time where we were really good on 3rd down conversions so it kinda hid it..

But we struggle to stay on schedule with down and distance... And have fire a while...

Not necessarily a key for UGA... But just in general...

When you're resigned to losing games, how you lose them really starts to matter.

Tons of holding and 15yd penalties on the o line. That's a guaranteed punt with this offense.

Inability of the defense to line up correctly.

Extremely poor secondary play which really should be a strong point given the players/coaches.

We all knew it was going to be a long season, but please just look coached.

I can take not being able to do what you want from personnel limitations. I can take getting out run or run over or pushed around. But I cant take sloppy football.

Do you believe this man knows what he is talking about?

Problem is every time JG throws a swing pass to Chandler it’s a coin flip between a completion and a ball at Chandler’s feet that was thrown backwards and is a possible fumble. Hard to call plays when your QB is so erratic with simple throws.

It pisses me off that Penn State can have one of the biggest scandals in the history of college football and they immediately turn it around. Meanwhile, at Tennessee....
What do you expect? They hired a coach that was running from a rape scandal at Vandy. Football is their life over there.

Fans are so funny and impatient. Incredibly impatient. Nobody wanted Bronco Mendenhall after the first couple years at Virginia. He was labeled a bust my many. Now four years into the program rebuild, a 4-0 start, and he’s this great genius coach Tennessee fans dream of.

Same with Cutcliff at Duke. He wasn’t good enough to be our coach a decade ago. He was old and washed up, we can do better we said. Things started out slow for him at Duke. But he changed the culture, built a respectable program and 10 years later Tennessee fans now wish we had him.

I’ll let some of you guys in on a little secret... Jeremy Pruitt didn’t become a bad football coach after moving to Knoxville. He inherited an enormous mess. Over a decade of bad decisions. And if given time, in a few years, I’d bet other teams would wish he were coaching their team. But it’s doubtful he’ll be given that amount of time by our fans and administration. He’ll most likely be fired this year or next and we’ll start all over again with another coordinator or head coach from a small conference. And do it all over again. The insanity will continue.

agreed. The sad part is we have seen these players put in the right spots, only to see something dumb happen.

Penalty that kills a drive... Turnover that takes away points... Or a blown coverage in a game deciding situation...

Or the coaches mismanaging personnel in a game that should have been a walk over. But even in that game you saw the same row of mistakes... Veteran QB and RB that can't complete a swing pass? A veteran QB that didn't see underneath coverage and throws red zone picks...

Frustrating all the way around..
