1996 Bama game. For my 16th birthday, my parents got me tickets to the game. I was in the end zone Jay Graham ran 79 yards into to win the game 20-13 after Bama led 13-0. Pretty cool birthday.
Another favorite of mine that I sometimes 4get about. I remember watching it with my high school buddy, Jackie (may he rest in peace, which moves that game up more, now) and going ape-sh!t, jumping up and down followed with a hug, when Graham broke it down the sidelines. I knew UT was going to win that game, tho. Man, I miss that feeling and Big Jack

That and realizing the odds of UT hiring a better coach at this juncture are slim to none. History supports that we tend to screw these things up, so maybe, just maybe, the best thing to do right now is nothing.
But I doubt we’d hire a WORSE coach.

What’s your favorite UT Vols Football memory? Better days are ahead.
My first real memory is the Sugar Vols in NOLA. Miami fakes a kick and scores a TD. Then UT runs away with it. Track star end around, Lee Greenwood at halftime. V,B.

Next would be 1990 Bama game at Neyland. 9-6 loss.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner, 1998 Florida game. The GOAT for me as a fan, and a student at the time.

Next would be the 98 Arkansas game in the rain.

Anyway, just reminiscing. Please share your favorite memories.

Pretty much what we've said after the last couple of firings. Want to remind me how that turned out? We have consistently found new ways to fail.
Hopefully we will land on a nonimbecile by accident. I’m not terribly afraid of the unknown when the known is historically bad.

Come to think of it, the pick 6 Ainge threw against LSU was literally the beginning of the end. Idc about the losing record in 05. That pick 6 in the title game is what Tennessee football has looked like since

The one thing that gives me hope that we might do better next time is that Fulmer has plenty of time to get it right. He has to know that Pruitt may not get it fixed and he has to be developing contingencies. I'm not sure it is fair to judge him too harshly on the result of the last search.

Man, that '90 9-6 loss to Bama was heartbreaking. IIrc, we were going to kick the game winning FG, got it blocked and a couple plays later Bama kicked one to win it. But, what I, also remember is that I watched it with another lifelong friend, Luke, that also died last year. Just crazy, I'm was 47 then and so was he
