Most telling thing I’ve seen

No band on the field. Crowd is dead. Pruitt talking to a sideline reporter.

Save the forensic analysis....This isn't the entrance, it's walking out of the locker room after the half.

I believe this is the case. Seem to recall Maurer saying some of the veteran players gave him some words of encouragement when he knew he'd be getting the second half call. I wouldn't read anything into that video.

Flag and Smokey always lead them out. No cheerleaders, general announcements coming over the PA, no boo from the home crowd. I could be wrong, but that just doesn't look like pre-game.

Maybe so. Be clean Offensive linemen tell me that is before a single snap. Those guys fall down on almost every play. They should be filthy. Especially their white pants. Their helmets should at least have some orange smears from the Gators helmets on them as well. Way too clean to be after the half.

Everyone who went to the game said it was an extremely dead crowd in the swamp. This is basically an OOC scrimmage for them nowadays anyways. They don’t get pumped up for meaningless games like people in Tennessee do.

Our band is always on the field for pre-game. They’re sitting in the NE corner of the stadium in that clip.

It’s definitely the second half entrance.

Man. If they are all that clean after an entire half of football...that says ALOT as well Lololol And also, JG should have been right up there with his teammates encouraging BM. Not hiding back in the middle of the team somewhere like a beta.
JG reminds me of a possum on a two lane road:D

I knew the whole environment looked flat when I saw the video. This is just people trying to justify a narrative in their own minds.

Like I said. Ray Charles can see JG sucks as a QB. Has no business playing at this point. Watch the games on Saturday, that’s the only justification anyone needs to say that he need to be sitting.

JG is the best player every team we play has this season. Every team we play should give him their gameball.

When did UT start running out at halftime at opposing teams stadiums with the flags?..and why would the band be on the field?

Stevie Wonder could find open receivers better than Jarrett Guantanamo

Maurer is our Shane Falco, except you know hopefully the lead the Washington Generals to a win over the defending champion Dallas Falco, and not the Sugar Bowl blowout loss Falco

Right now, I would be pretty happy with a Falco that could just GET us to a Sugar Bowl (heck, ANY bowl).

He meant UF’s band being on the field for pre-game, which wasn’t the case in that clip.

And UT always runs out of the tunnel with the big flag, whether pre-game or after the half.

The flags and Smokey are standard. It's just that nobody pays much attention coming out of the half.

Ever seen a college pregame/entrance where the home band isn't on the field? I can't think of one.

Maurer being taken out of the game after leading our only scoring drive is coaching malpractice.

Florida (among others) demonstrated that Pruitt isn't the guy for the Tennessee. Doing something that boneheaded is something not even Butch would've done.

I agree. Hey. Urban Meyer liked Brian Maurer. 🤷‍♂️

I never pay attention to the other teams and. Makes sense.

Still weird since other teammates said they didnt know Maurer was coming in until the huddle.

Don't worry, it's ok cause JG really practices better than Maurer.
JG has the worst body language and never interacts with coaches and players on bench during a game.
Plus he can’t run for **** or evade a rush or lead a receiver or hit a wide open one.
But, I’m sure he’s nice guy. Bless his heart.

Yeah... I don't get that part of the Maurer story either. You'd think that with a true freshman coming in, they'd have a quick conversation and even lay out the first few plays.

Who are our captains? Darrell Taylor im assuming. Who else?
That was my question. Good on Maurer for being like that regardless. But if JG were a captain for the game he would have already been on the field.

That said, I still go back to when Jones was doing everything he could to give the job to JG over Dormady. Some of the player interviews were predictably neutral. Those that weren't... pointed toward Dormady as the guy the players wanted. Kelly hardly hid his preference at all.

Not to point out the obvious... but Jones CONSISTENTLY did things that boneheaded and worse. That's what got him fired. Remember the UMass game a couple of years ago. Dormady struggled a little but moved the O and scored some points. Jones then threw JG in and stalled the O. UT probably should have lost that game.
