First, he did not get a grad transfer. He got a red shirt soph transfer from Maryland and he's not eligible to play this season. 2nd those reports from practice are total bs and the throws he made were on routes vs air, meaning no defense present. 3rd and I'm paraphrasing here, the 247 writer on National Radio said JG was decent QB for skills competition as in he could throw the ball through a tire but when it came to actually putting a game together on the field it would never happen because he's just not that good.

Interesting quote. Record and opponents would we are “80% worse”. However, we are a 3-1 team with decent QB play. OL looks much better, running game looks improved. ST are a strength. We look improved vs. run, WR Corp has looked = or > than last year when given a chance (JJ drop vs UF noted).

Really feel a QB would have this team on a different trajectory and is our Achilles right now.

Not sure if that is 100% better, but there are certain areas where this team does look better so far. A few areas where regression has killed the record.

Pruitt is a decent DC however he is not a program manager because he's not a CEO type. He doesn't have the personality, Dabo is a terrible football coach but a great program manager because he has a CEO type personality and trust the people he hires.

Sorry, you're right...not a grad transfer. I give you that one. As for the routes vs air that's all the media sees. They only let the media see the first few minutes of practice and it's all drills. The players do 7 on 7 and 11 vs 11 after the media leaves. According to coaches and former players that get to watch he has far and away been the best QB in practice.

You base this on what? Being on his staff and Dabos? He’s our coach and his kids love him clearly. Let the man work and get behind the team.

If you're referring to Erik Ainge then you're being mislead. He's the mouth piece for UT, he works for state run radio and says what he's told to say. He was still defending JG this week and if you remember he went on National TV to defend Butch and called everyone else outside of sport animal fake news. Who was right in the end of the Butch deal? Ainge is as fake as Wolken

Why did Pruitt say it.....because you couldn't hear anything else coming over the waves...........All you could hear was worst team ever, coaches can't develop the kids....team has regressed....ect ect ..........................
And then he has to come out with 100X better than last year....they were a poor team last year and are poor and some would say poorer this year.........
Got to face the music at some point....quit trying to pass poor play and coaching off on the "fans are ignorant"

No, I'm mostly referring to Jason Swain. He stopped defending him after the BYU game but still admits what he saw and what was expected. He's as baffled as anyone.

JG has the athletic ability but does not have the mental make up. He is great against routes on air, 7 on 7 in situations controlled by the coaching staff but outside of that he's awful.

Tell you what, go back to the archives after the BYU game for Saturday and Sunday, pull up the host of that stations twitter feeds. Look at everything they said those 2 days about JG and then fast forward to Monday and all of the sudden they're singing JG's praises again.

Must be mental but even in the closed scrimmages he played great...the 11 on 11 work they do. Must be mental because he's prob not worried about messing up during practice
