Rumors floating about - Tim Jordan

Jordan has always played hard. Would hate to lose a player like him. Our RB depth is already thin.

Chandler and Gray are better than Jordan it seems. This is a perfect scenario where the transfer portal helps a kid. Jordan played hard and gave his all, but if you saw crouch in that short yardage play, he smashed the ball down Florida’s throat.

If Jordan WAS our bigger short yardage guy I totally get this move by him. He is a good back who could do well for himself and whatever school he transfers to if he does. I wish him a healthy career and appreciate the kid running hard for us.

Have these rules protected players as intended?

Are the new 25 counter rules making things easier for top programs to stay at the top?

Well, the answer to that depends on your perspective. It has protected kids in that fewer of them have been “processed” by new coaches that take over. It has hurt kids in that, because of the rule limiting how many transfers can be taken in, nearly 100 kids that entered the transfer portal had no school pick them up last year. Some of them were able to transfer down to FCS or D2, but many of them are just out of football or paying their own way somewhere.

Coaches are pushing to make transfers or at least grad transfers exempt from the initial counter rules. We’ll see if any action is taken on that this offseason.

The coaches are playing the players that they care about. The players that they see as their future. Players need to know that if they have not played yet, they have no weekend game day future here. And will likely have better futures somewhere else.

It is criminal (not Christian, and not applying the golden rule) not to tell them now. Some will blow out knees.

There are benefits to the education and training they receive, but if the coach has not put you in yet, considering all the freshmen that have played, don't expect to play here.

Burn this thing down and rebuild on a firm foundation. That’s all we can do at this point. This program won’t be rebuilt on the backs of players who don’t want to be here.

Seniors on this team are no longer a priority after this poor start already failing to meet seasonal goals of the program, no championship, no bowl, non-competitive. Turn the ball over to the younger players so they come into next season with experience.

If he does transfer out good luck to Tim, wish him nothing but the best. Tim is a decent RB who runs hard and has protected the football well while at TN. With that said TN is at the bottom of the barrel in the SEC because we have a bunch of average players filling our roster out, sprinkled in with a few big playmakers. We're not ever gonna get back to the top or even compete with the top programs if we line RB's like Tim up in our backfield. It is what it is. We have a couple more years of recruiting and hopefully developing before we can get back into this thing. In the mean time we have to start winning the games we should, stealing a few here and there, and competing in all of them.

Nothing to worry about. I remember the coach fluffers telling us that when players were leaving under Lyle that they were weak and cancers to the team. I’m sure they will be along any minute to tell us that Jordan is b$tch who couldn’t handle Pruitt’s (non) coaching style.

If he doesn’t want to be here, then he should leave. It has been known that there are some in the Jr class that aren’t buying in. If he is one, then all the more reason to part ways.

Jordan isn't as good as Chandler or Gray, in my opinion. I believe it would be a good move for him.

Can't blame him. The program looks like garbage right now, and the future looks worse.
This is a losing point. The bottom line is these kids, for the most part, are here to playing time to show NFL scouts what they can do. Wins and losses rank below their playing time.

Pretty much but why let that get in the way of an irrational temper tantrum by our fans.

I hope Jordan is successful wherever he goes but Gray and Chandler are better players for us. I’m not real concerned.

When a new coach has barely started his 2nd year coming into a completely destroyed by the previous coach and they are wanting the new coach fired, they are looking for instant gratification.
They are looking for some improvement not instant gratification. This program is regressing to even lower depths than what was experienced under Jones.

Nothing substantial, but a rumor of him transferring is being discussed on both TOS’s.

If he's one of the upperclassmen causing the locker room problems then good, I hope they all transfer. Not saying Tim Jordan is one of those guys but let's clean out the mess.

No, he's just getting buried on the RB depth chart and a lot of players now have an even easier route to transferring and finding somewhere they can start. It's unfortunately where we're at in CFB.

If not for Josh Dobbs, Butch would’ve been out of a job much sooner. With a player like Dobbs, Pruitt is undefeated right now. Oline has looked better, RBs have looked better, LBs have looked better, wrs have gotten open several times but not gotten the ball, dline improved significantly from what we saw in the first game. Qb position and thereby the offense’s inability to stay on the field and score has drug this team down.

Yeah Pruitt has been bad as well particularly in the Georgia State game but the lack of a QB on this roster has made him look much worse.

Jordan was an average back when he signed. He's down the depth chart and now even a true freshman lb is taking his snaps. Hope he can find a place to shine if he does leave

Eli Wolfe has already caught more passes in 4 games at UGA than he did all last year at UT.

Yeah....FROMME >>>>>>>>>>>> JG....

Good grief, man----he transferred to a team with enough talent to win the NC. He's a big target...

But pump the brakes a little bit.....just wait until UGa gets into the meat of their SEC schedule and see how many passes he catches.
By the way--he caught 1 pass for 8 yds against ND. whoopee
