The Athletic is actually really good with baseball and other stories BUT @David Ubben and their coverage of the Tennessee Volunteers is written with an agenda by David because he is pissed at the University and lack of coverage. Instead of writing a story about a young man with a handicap and his father getting to go to a game in a skybox and getting to meet our gracious AD, he would rather just keep putting the University in a bad light. If the shirt tweet didn't show you that nothing will. And his posting it was a joke is what everyone always says when they get called out for something the print or say which is stupid. It wasn't a joke outside of him trying to make fun of Tennessee.

How was he making fun of UT? Man the histrionics over every little thing said and tweeted by reporters and announcers here is insane lmao. Lighten up folks. It's tweeter

Don’t think we get much pressure on Trask next week.

He didn't fall down? Even when lunging to make a tackle, you are falling down. Not trying to be a smart ..., but you are just picking at words. He was still late getting it out or Coach Wenkie and I are both wrong and you are right. By the way, always support JG and still think he is our best chance right now BUT he has to get better. I hope he does and we go to a bowl with some great wins and he gets drafted. That is what we need but he still hasn't got it right.

I just think there is a difference between accidentally “falling down” and the DB lunging to tackle the guy because he is beat.

However, either way that DB was out of the play. Maybe he could have thrown it sooner or more in stride but either way it got to him without the safety being able to make a play.

200 yards rushing yesterday and that coach claims he knew the plays....ok. Either he didn’t know the plays or Austin Pope is the best blocking TE in the country.

This and can JG anticipate quick enough to avoid a big sack or turnover. He’s made some good throws and read but a few yesterday would have been too late. I’m rooting for him, could be remembered as one of the few to go in Gainesville and win. (Casey Clausen and who else??)

So line was -8.5 Florida fir last night's game. Safe to assume that in the swamp would have been -11ish. So this line seems about right.

I think 13 or 14. My understanding is home field is worth 3 pts compared to a neutral field. So a swing from home to away is a full 6 points. Though some stats people have broken it down to be closer to 2.5 than 3...tifwiw.

Could be wrong about all this, not a sports bettor.

Except for GS, where we didn't seem to have one, we game plan per team. Of course we have some play designs that don't change, all teams do. And you know the other team knows. Same as Pruitt being frustrated because he knew exactly what plays GS were lining up for in ot. Said it in the coaches show.
Can you/they stop it, that's the only question.

I hope Ubben just wrote this to feed the FF/Twitter portion of the fanbase..if this was truly news to him, he's worse than I already thought.

Throw to Jennings was good. To Tillman was late and should've had it out a little quicker to Marquez because he had to wait a little on it. Would not work if DB stayed with him instead of falling down. DB would've been able to catch back up to it and if he leads it instead because of being late, then it would've been out of bounds.

Looked like Tillman was his primary read and he let it fly as soon as his feet got set. As this Twitter post suggests, maybe the bigger problem is that he had a rusher in his face immediately when we protected with 7 and they only sent 5.
