A coach ain't worth their salt unless they can distinguish plays. It doesn't matter if they know what's going on if you do your job it'll work
200 yards rushing yesterday and that coach claims he knew the plays....ok. Either he didn’t know the plays or Austin Pope is the best blocking TE in the country.

Nice story, glad to know that Chatt knew all of our plays and still couldn't stop us. Seems like a coaching issue. Get your players lined up. It's kind of simple if you already know the play. Also, do me a favor...get rid of the Athletic...well actually my buddy inside the program said The athletic will be gone soon...oops.

The Athletic is actually really good with baseball and other stories BUT @David Ubben and their coverage of the Tennessee Volunteers is written with an agenda by David because he is pissed at the University and lack of coverage. Instead of writing a story about a young man with a handicap and his father getting to go to a game in a skybox and getting to meet our gracious AD, he would rather just keep putting the University in a bad light. If the shirt tweet didn't show you that nothing will. And his posting it was a joke is what everyone always says when they get called out for something the print or say which is stupid. It wasn't a joke outside of him trying to make fun of Tennessee.

I would be extremely surprised if Tennessee doesn't self scout and are aware of these tendencies.

I wonder if the tendencies were on purpose going into SEC play. So we wouldn’t be completely scouted by the Florida game.

I think our coaching staff thought we could keep it somewhat vanilla in the first two games and just out play and out execute our opponents and we didn’t.

Heading into SEC play, Florida has no clue what we are going to run.

Disagree, I am not a JG fan but you obviously need to go back and rewatch JGs passes. He was not late on any of them. The throw to JJ in the endzone was perfect and thrown right as the window opened. The throw to Tillman was thrown right when it needed to be as well. The throw to Calloway was thrown that way because he knew no one was around Calloway so there was no need to accidentally overthrow it.

Stop being biased just because you don’t like him. They weren’t excellent throws.

Throw to Jennings was good. To Tillman was late and should've had it out a little quicker to Marquez because he had to wait a little on it. Would not work if DB stayed with him instead of falling down. DB would've been able to catch back up to it and if he leads it instead because of being late, then it would've been out of bounds.

That DB did not fall down. That DB tried to tackle Calloway for the Pass Interference because he was beat. There was no need for JG to over throw that ball, Calloway had absolutely no one near him so an underthrow is better than an overthrow.

Imo all this is overblown quite a bit (not you). I think we'd be naive to think SEC coaches can't diagnose tendencies of each other extremely easily. UGA, Bama, Clemson, LSU aren't tricky offenses either. Sometimes you will heavily imbalance toward certain plays. It's the opposite of "being cute". You have to balance doing what you want to do and do best and being deceptive. But you'd rather do what you do best a majority of the time and leave deception as the counter to that. Otherwise you are one of those extremely motion-heavy offenses always relying on deception and misdirection to accomplish anything.

Was this the same kid/situation you were frustrated about during the Georgia State game?

He didn't fall down? Even when lunging to make a tackle, you are falling down. Not trying to be a smart ..., but you are just picking at words. He was still late getting it out or Coach Wenkie and I are both wrong and you are right. By the way, always support JG and still think he is our best chance right now BUT he has to get better. I hope he does and we go to a bowl with some great wins and he gets drafted. That is what we need but he still hasn't got it right.
