Vandy sucks

All I have is my opinion right now but the proof is coming soon.

It's a new season and everyone is 0-0.

Some people look at it like we're gonna lose until we don't.

Some people look at it like we're gonna win until we don't.

Neither is right or wrong. One is safer on the feelers and the other is just more fun and exciting.

I was reading through vandys roster and projected two deep and noticed they have a ton of grad transfers and a surprising number of Junior college transfers (Surprising for vandy anyway.) It looks like Mason is trying to put a bandaid on the results of some really bad recruiting classes. This temporary fix isn't going to work and will hurt them more in the long run, the vols are about to surpass them in a big way and I believe we have many years of beatdowns to look forward to.
They have beat us 4 if last 6. Nuf said

There's enough evidence for me, and if I'm wrong I'll be in the same exact boat with you in November.
With all due respect Behr, cause you know I got nothing but respect for you, what’s the evidence? They beat the snot out us last year to end the season and we’ve not seen our guys play since.

We can be hopeful that the reported S&C gains are legit, that our depth has improved, that the player development is finally up to SEC snuff and that our guys are fully bought in. But until I see it play out the only place it matters, on Saturdays on the field, I won’t believe the evidence is there.....too many false hopes and disappointing games and seasons lo these many years.

For me, it’s not about “being safe”, it’s about being prudent.....intelligence guided by experience if you will. To say it another way, “fool me 7-8 times, shame on me”.

I knew when I said that, you were going to question it haha. What could I possibly mean? Its all in my head. It's been nearly 100 years since they've beat us this often. I think Pruitt is a football coach and he's worked hard this off season to put us in a better position to win and I think we do. And the most important thing you should realize, is if I'm wrong, I'm not worried about "told ya so" or "you were stupid to think we would beat Vanderbilt". I mean, think about it. That's the last thing in this world I'll care about. Haha.

You want to be prudent... "Intelligence guided by experience", that's fine for you, it's not that important to me, especially with Vanderbilt, whom I actually feel we will beat. Yea, Id still feel the same if we were talking about Florida, but I might not argue it like this because I don't think we beat them this year.

I guess it all comes down to Its just not as important to me to be wrong as it is you and others.

I tried to explain the best I could without it being a book, so hope you at least understand it.

Their roster isn’t any different this year than it has been in the past and it’s woeked well for them.

I’ve never thought I’d see a TN fan write THAT sentence. The Vols are about to Surpass Vandy...

Was in Nashville around Vanderbilt in July and their seniors have One game in mind, they want to leave as Seniors being undefeated against UT. That game just means more to Vandy than it does to UT.

My point stands, Mason hasn't recruited well and this is the year it catches up with them and their luck runs out. Tennessee plays Georgia close this year and stomps vandy. It is the dawn of a new day on Rocky top!

When I saw the title, I came in to say, "Thanks for telling us something we already knew."

Then I read your post. Of course they can get grad and juco transfers. They have been doing more with lower ranked players than we have with higher ranked ones. And with the transfer rules so wide open nowadays, they are able to bring in guys who said, "Thanks, but no thanks" to them coming out of high school.

Before we brag about beatdowns, I am going to wait until we do it a couple of times. You know what sucks more than Vanderbilt? Us being at the point to where beating them is something worth talking trash about.

They clearly have benefitted from a weaker than normal Eastern division especially in regards to Tennessee. That first season under Pruitt doesn't mean much, it barely even counts.

Oh boy another year zero guy. Great.

Yeah the ladder does suck worse. I hope we win this year, but I think people are sorely mistaken to think we are going to win by 21+. Mason’s style of play rarely lets that happen. They find ways to move the chain and their defense has been good (although hit or miss) in masons tenure. They also bring in an NFL style qb although unproven but some expect may even have an NFL career some day in Riley Neal.

Let's put it this way. And there is no hoping to it. Tennessee BETTER beat Vandy this year. And the more dominate the win, the better. Some will feel we need to move on from Pruitt if he goes under 8 wins, and I am in that camp. But a second straight loss to them for any coach at Tennessee? You just can't sugarcoat that. The fact that it has become a discussion turns my stomach. And the only way to put it to bed with a pacifier in it's mouth is to beat the ever living daylight out of them. From this year on.

Lose to them a second time? We will see how "barely" it counts.

Who went to a bowl last year?

Who gaf? Does it really bother you guys that a Vol fan says Vandy sucks?

Lol, how stupid is this?

Vandy beat us 3 years in a row and they Suck.

Florida has beaten us 11 years in a row and they Suck.

Alabama has beaten us 11-12 years in a row and they suck.

Muschamp has never lost to us, him and his team suck.

They've all been to a bowl and or won National Championships since we have and they all suck.

Gotcha brother....it’s your “feeling”, it’s your “belief”, it’s your “hope”.

But still no evidence until Tennessee produces said evidence with a win?

No worries. And btw, while I try not to be wrong, like most people I’d assume, when presenting an argument for or against something....I’d be thrilled to be wrong in this case....I’d do backhand springs down my neighborhood street into traffic if I prove to be wrong and Tennessee handles Vanderbilt, if they thump SCar, if they, God forbid, beat Florida.

I also know that I’ll get called out by a lot of guys on VN, but I couldn’t care less and would even gladly welcome it if it means Tennessee returns to being a winning football program.

On second thought (a rare occurrence on this board), I deleted my post -- in order to deny Candy trolls the pleasure of seeing it.
