Dolan is a moron. Not quite sure how they relate to the cowboys though. Cowboys actually attract talent.
I’m exhausted, literally exhausted. I know there is a few of you that have parents that have dementia. Yesterday, dad was having a good day. Today, from around 6 in the morning, it’s been horrific. He thought it was Saturday and missed preaching on TV this morning. From bringing in a kitten, that he found outside and is now frightened of. Haven’t been able to get him in shower all day (has taken 2 a day all his life), somehow has found clippers (while I was at the grocery store) and clipped his own hair (gapes all over), hasn’t eaten all day, throwing the remote a few times, screamed at neighborhood children for getting too loud. What do you all do?
Times have changed. You dont need to be a part of a big market team to become a superstar. OKC, Portland, San Antonio, Cavs, G State., etc have/had created superstars (mega nba & shoe deals) w/o being a big city franchise.I’m not an nba guy but why is it so hard for the knicks to become a good team or attract talent? It’s usually the flashy cities that get big time talent but the knicks constantly suck.
Is it bad ownership, similar to the Dallas Cowboys?
Since Stephen took over a majority of the front office duties, that tide has really turned. He knows how to let his dad have a final say that’s already predetermined...the only reason Johnny Manziel and/or Paxton Lynch are other franchise’s cautionary tale. That’s for the draft. If Garrett is finally let go we’ll see how the younger Jones navigates that and let’s Jerry indulge his GM ego.Yeah cowboys attract talent because the owner will spend money. But coaching matters more in the nfl and the cowboys are a circus with the owner being the ring leader and the coach being a clueless puppet. I quit following that team that I loved my whole life because of the owner. Being a cowboys fan is an exercise in futility. Most years mediocrity. Occasional very good year that ultimately ends in embarrassing fashion.
Just seems like the knicks should be like the Celtics and lakers and others as being a premier name franchise.

But yes the Knicks are the worst ran organization in the nba. Owner/president/GM are the most important people in the nba.

Having a great time at the Catalina Wine Mixer.
I’m so sorry, sounds awful what you’ve had to deal with. Dad has had good days, remarkably strung together a week or two at times, he just got out of his routine today, not anything else, just out of his routine, just exhausting sometimes.
He had a good agent. hahahaha They owed him $5.9 mil in 2000 and didn't want to pay so they worked out a deferred deal to defer payments til 2011 and then pay 8% interest a year. So they will end up paying him a total of $29.8 mil by the end of it. They did the same thing with Strawberry and which pays out $1.64 million from 2004 to 2033. This article is a pretty good explanation. Some of their motivations had to do with believing they would make more money in the long run by using the cash to invest with Bernie Madoff. hahaha. How in the hell did that happen?
