In regards to Brandon Huntley-Hatfield

Why he could be a five-star: A native of Tennessee who was originally in the class of 2021, Huntley-Hatfield is the same age as most in 2022, so the plan is to graduate with his group. He's a skilled four-man with a pretty shot, the ability to put the ball on the floor and he's a fluid athlete.

Early recruitment: Auburn, East Tennessee State, Florida, Georgia, Seton Hall, South Carolina, St. John's, Tennessee and West Virginia have all made early offers, according to his summer coach, Bobby Maze.

Both Bowden and the team really need him to continue that progression if they are are going to be successful in the coming year. We just don't have any experienced go-to guys, other than Turner.

That happened when he was the fourth or fifth guy on the scouting report (Teams were focused on stopping Bone before he got to the elbow and Grant in the paint). Next year Turner, Bowden, and James will be the guys teams will scheme to stop.

Wow, Kerry Blackshear withdrawing his name from NBA Draft and likely to be a graduate transfer...most every team expected he would stick in the draft, curious to see where he ends up.

Yeah, gotta try to get Blackshear on the Hill. The pitch has to be, "with Turner, Bowden, our 5 star freshman, James and role players Fulk, JJ and Pons, all we are missing is a replacement for Grant. That's all u, Kenny. Maybe u can be SEC player of the year, too, filling Grant's role". I would buy it

I'm sure Blackshear would start anywhere he goes, but he could play as many minutes as he wanted here given our lack of experience in the front court. He's the perfect replacement for Grant, considering it's somewhat of a rebuilding year in the SEC he could dominate.

I agree but Bowden gave me every reason to believe he is going to give opposing defenders fits given his 3-pt shooting and ability to drive and either pull-up or finish with his explosive vertical

2019 head count? Sounds like we've got 12 outta 13 spots for next year's team...and I've read some names ya'll think are likely extras.

Honestly would like a big we know can play this year, but not sure if Barnes is going that route or not. He could let Burns, Fulkie, Kent be the guys and play "small" ball a bit more...based on last year's minutes (and size) Kyle was the only legit 6'8"+ guy with 20 or more minutes...I could see Kent stepping into that role honestly. Depending on what you get from Burns and/or Fulkie you could have that group settled.

Pons, Jalen, ORN all size wise are capable of filing that Grant/Admiral role...doubt they'll be as productive though. Uros would be huge if we could get him eligible this season, but we shall see.

I like Turner and with more minutes I expect his offensive numbers to go up but I don’t think he is a guy that has the skills or athleticism to take his game to another level. He is a good player and I am glad he is a vol but I just don’t see him giving us a lot more. Bowden can elevate his game and I expect him, James and burns to be a big focus on our offense.

Hoping to see Bowden have a senior season like Richardson had.

And Turner having one like Punter...that's less likely but would be AWESOME.
