He absolutely skyrocketed back in February after 247 analysts saw him in-person at a camp. He jumped from 319 to 43 at once, then again down to the low 30s. Maybe Rivals guys missed that camp idk. But I do trust 247 above others. His stats are off the charts too.

Ehhh what? Chaney brought in Fields and Fromm certainly has some wheels on him too. I think Chaney sees the value in a QB that can take off. Who wouldn't? They are undeniably more valuable, AOTBE.

Fwiw, 247 actually has him listed as a pro-style QB...then again they had JG as a DT QB...from what I've been told he's a pass first QB with the strong ability to run. To me he is Maurer 3.0.

The A&M board is really dogging us - "play for a boneheaded defensive coach"..."why would he go play for a staff that's never developed a QB". They are so clueless over there. I really want to put down $7.99 for a 1 month sub just to go talk shiz after he commits here. Pretty sure Fong and Callahan aren't just messing with us. That said, Jimbo could make it happen but I still feel good about this one if we survive this weekend.

I did see they only offered him back on May 1st. Hopefully are long-term pursuit of him trumps the in-state push. But A&M might also overwhelm him with the recent offer and now the OV. Jimbo is certainly a force in recruiting. Fingers crossed we are still here happy on Monday.

The 247 A&M board sucks. Bunch of dumbasses in there (and I’m an Aggie).

Texags is the main website most reasonable Aggies go to. There are of course some jack holes on there, but they are mostly reasonable.

Agree, not a lock but enough of a chance that I wouldn't want to give Bailey pause.
Basically hoping Pruitt and Bailey are on the same page if we're gonna pursue this till the end.

Should add, from what Bailey has said, I think they are.

Ok, I had to rewatch his HUDL tape one more time. Maaan he's good. He might be one of the better throwers on the run I've ever seen at HS or even college. And his 69.2% completion percentage tells me those are not fluke highlights either.

And looking at his stats - one other explanation for his previous lower ranking (still lower on Rivals) and his newer 247 ranking is that he JUMPED from a 53 to 69 completion percentage. More than doubled his passing yards. Tripled his rushing yards. Can only imagine what he'll do his senior season. Better get him before he's #1 overall.

I fully believe they are too. Pruitt has been upfront and honest with Bailey. The only question is if Bailey truly expected such an elite recruit to be the other guy. It's always possible he just expected a random 3 star guy to be the other guy. Hopefully this doesn't change things. If his own words hold true...then it won't!

Yeah, that's what made me think also. If we're being honest, it's probably not what HB thought we'd be in the running for, given everything.

Before Wiltfong, wasn't much conversation from us either lol.
