How many more have to go? Like ~5?

I'm not saying we won't have guys leave but I'm not sure we have to have any guys leave, at least in a sense. I have us at 88 scholarships when everyone gets here but if Kirkland isn't going to play does he need a football scholarship? As I understand it, he has already graduated. In the Anthony Harris Thread it's being reported that him making it in is in doubt. Then there's the Kenny George, Jr situation. I don't know what's going on with that. Anyway, while I'm not sure we have to lose anyone I guess I figure we'll lose some anyway, and maybe even someone we would rather not lose. Another question out there is did JJP go home? If so, is he coming back?

Wouldn't worry too much about it. 88, 90...doesn't matter. Kids who don't fit the plan will move on in sufficient numbers to make the 85. It always works out after spring is over.

France is like the SEC: simultaneously corrupt to the core and woefully incompetent. So when something goes wrong, it's tough to tell the difference between foul play and an honest f*** up.

Perhaps, but as gramps used to say...."you let a fox in the hen house and your chickens get eaten". It's coming here, too. The infiltration/invasion and "fundamental change" is well underway.

If I were him I would absolutely hate the thought of having to write all that with the tv show having run its course. Walking the line between retread and independent story would suck, especially when you know you’ll get passionately roasted for every choice you make. Thanks no, move on, count money.

Yes, from the writer's perspective, I could see where you'd be open to even more criticism that way. Supposedly, he's been close to done with Winds of Winter for several years. I only finished the books about a year ago, but I can imagine fans being pretty annoyed since he's had updates about it being close several times only to pull it back (and that's before the show caught up to the books). Still, he must have painted himself into some kind of writing corner to not have it out by now.

Unless he already finished it. Think it’ll sell a few if there’s no show as an outlet? 😎
