This won’t be popular. But I feel like Tennessee came calling for Rick Barnes when his stock was down. True, the last 2 years have been incredible. But given the whole Barnes backstory, regardless of the man’s faith, I believe he’s gone. I also believe it’s incredibly bush league and behind the back on Barnes’ part, negotiating with another school a la Cuonzo, and I say see ya Rick. He’s upstanding? Really? He’s tarnished now.

I hate this argument. How much money are any of these sports responsible for bringing into the Athletic Dept? Men's BB is the ONLY one with a beef and they could probably make 2 straight FF's and still not touch one season of Football revenue.. Cash is King. When Football wins an SEC title you'll get your new soccer field and maybe even a new scoreboard

To be fair, I kind of side with FB on the timing of all this...Pruitt has seemed in the media at least to be very pro basketball. And based on what Barnes is being paid and the results I don't know how BB feels slighted at all. They had amazing attention during the season and the fans showed up.

The timing is definitely unfortunate. First, the LVs drama, then this, right when Pruitt wants all the focus on FB for a big recruiting weekend. They're already concerned the turnout won't be what Pruitt wants.
