Duke? That lily white school founded by tabacco barons? Well, since they hired Cutcliffe, I have some sympathy for their football program, but their roundball... The kindest thing I can say is Go Vols!

My primary stresser right now is dealing with Aetna
I do not know what is your diagnosis nor how long an ordeal you face, but once you know enough, are there patient advocates who will help you?

Awhile back, my wife faced an ordeal. The cost of the treatment she was facing was astronomical. One of her doctors (the gastroenterologist, I think) referred her to a non-profit advocacy group. They help her with the drug providers and the health care plan to create an affordable care plan she could undertake. The PITA health care plan company became pussycats after that.

I don't think so, but I'm not really sure at this point
Various brain neoplasms (including non-malignant!) are on the SC list. Do you know if you are eligible in general for SC compensation? How to File a VA Disability Claim: VA.gov Once you recover from surgery and they know what's going on, contact your local VA regional benefit center.

If you currently are seen by a VA provider, and if you think he/she is a good advocate, you might go through them initially. As we all know, claims processing can take a ridiculously long time, and it never hurts to have someone on your side. Same with local veterans groups.

We're all pulling for you!

So to update your thread the surgery is Friday, you’ll be in the hospital about three days and you can’t drive or do any strenuous exercise for two weeks, right?

Correct. I also can't get my head wet for three days, pretty much my stay in the hospital. After that I can only use baby shampoo until the stitches are out, 10 to 14 days. Good news is I can go to my regular doc to get the stitches out, so I won't have to make the extra trip to Nashville

Three days is nothing. When I was in the hospital for five months I could go for a couple of weeks without any kind of sponge baths. Got sorta ripe from time to time. 😂 Anyways we’ll all be rooting for you and I know you’re gonna do fine!
You gave us quite a scare then. So glad you pulled through it!
