Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, post grundge.

You are right, love Pearl Jam, Hootie and some, but absolutely hate sound garden (refuse to capitalize the first initial), just my personal choice. Nickleback and Three Day’s Grace started my turn in early 2007, (Don’t judge me, lol), now put on some Dustrubed and I’m going on it.

Hard rock wise, GNR, Poison, Motley Crue and Skid Row - maybe Tesla were awesome. Much better than Metal.

Wholistically, i've enjoyed the Dead and Jimi Hendrix as go to's for years.

As far as top to bottom - when i think of Rock and Roll bands, i mean kick ass Rock and Roll bands - my first thought are the 🐐's.

Poison, Motley, & Skid Row have no business being mentioned in the same sentence with Guns N‘ Roses.

Motley & Skid Row were good (Poison, no), but Appetite for Destruction and the early days of Guns was on a whole different level.

These are two of my favorite bands. Hate that ISS got rid of Zach. They aren’t the same without him. ADTR is a classic in this genre for me. Been my go to since starting this genre. Doesn’t hurt that Mike from TDWP is in that song as well.

I wonder if there was some age related loss of judgement with that priest.

Death metal - never heard an album I would buy.

Metal - Zombie, Megadeth, Metallica

Hard rock - Ozzy, G-n-R, original ACDC

Hair band- Crue was only album I ever purchased.

70's - Sabbath

Pop/rock - Billy Joel, INXS

Country - JohnnCash, Eric Church

RAP - NWA and Murphy Lee only albums I ever owned because I'm old AF.

Oh, rock/rap thingy. Not much to choose from. Didn't hate Fred Durst until his personality showed and everyone hated him.
Don't know how to classify Kid Rock, never heard someone cover such such a broad spectrum. His rock and country were fine, his rap was tuuurible.

@nicksjuzunk nick suggested discrepancies, checked out one called Rock Show and it wasn't bad at all. Will check out more when I have time.

I'd have to add Disturbed, Godsmack and Pantera to the metal grouping. As for Zombie, don't forget his early years with White Zombie.
