My favorite is Nose on the Grindstone. It is the quintessential Appalachian song.

“Who ever said you could raise you a family just working your ass off knee deep in coal?”

Think all of us in this region have been affected by pill desperation in one way or another.
Great song. Feathered Indians is such a great one too.

I’m 9 generations from Jackson. It will always be home.......but I don’t want to ever move back
I know you said from around Christmasville Rd. I don't know when you were last back but the northwest side of Madison co has changed to almost unrecognizable in the last 2 years I remember going to bucks little store out christmasville where I got my beer. $1.50 per 12oz beer, but if you had the money he never asked your age. I like it here but it's darn sure getting crowded.

I’m shocked it’s still a thing. iPod should have killed it 15 years ago, let alone the streaming services offered now
Yup. So easy to listen to whatever you want through your car speakers with Bluetooth, Aux or FM transmitter than having to shuffle through radio stations.

Actually lived in the “Timbers”( out by TCA)
I go see some friends every now and then. I used to ride my 3 wheeler from my house to Jackson County Club across 45-bypass. Things have definitely changed.
