Air, nothing will rid them of their frustration. They boo the team on Saturday, complain about the sermon on Sunday, and Mon thru Fri they bitch about how the "man" is keeping them down.
You can take the boy out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the boy.
At this point, I'm not trying to tell anyone how to act at a game.
We're just laughing at how some of these people try to reason it.
Booing = Venting frustration. Period. It helps nobody but ourselves, but we do it anyway because we're more concerned with making ourselves feel better than doing what is best for the team. This happens at all SEC schools, and always will.
Some people refuse to boo because they don't want to contribute anything negative to the game. Those people are obviously frustrated with the people who are less concerned about the team.
To each his own. I've learned to accept it myself. If you want to boo, have at it. I'll piss and moan to myself, but I'll save my voice for shouting down the gators instead. It's much more fun![]()
if you would quit slurping the guy who has been calling many of us inbred rednecks for pretty much all of his 100+ posts in this thread.
Further proof that you know absolutely jack about me and probably most everybody else.
Guys I am not a Tenn. fan and have been on here a few times just to lurk The reason I am posting is it is crazy to go out and boo college kids is flat out uncalled for, now whether you were at the game or watching on the television, these kids signed up to go to a program to play football and get an education. They are not getting paid millions of dollars and shrugging off losses. Have some respect for these players win or loose they deserve to be treated better than that, some of these guys are using the only way possible to obtain a college degree, so back off with the booing and relax. I want my team to win as bad as the next guy, but at the end of the day it is just a football game. You will win some and lose some, but life brings tougher times than loosing a football game.
keep it going Otter:Anyone that has half a brain and can be intellectually honest would have to admit that booing your own team is counter-productive and shows a lack of respect for, not only the f-ball team, but the university as a whole.
The reason, IMHO, that the terms I use to describe the boo-birds offend you is that you know (whether you want to admit it or not) there is some truth to it. Maybe you're not an "inbred redneck", but at the minimum, one that "boos" has no class. Some people, as expressed here, are even proud of it - they wear it like a medal on their chest. "Booing" use to not be accepted, but like the rest of society, we have descended into a black hole of "individualism", where it's all about me and nothing else. "I bought the tickets, the $5 hotdog, so I can boo whenever I want".
Anyone that has half a brain and can be intellectually honest would have to admit that booing your own team is counter-productive and shows a lack of respect for, not only the f-ball team, but the university as a whole.

I'm sorry, but I can't understand what you're saying with your hideously malformed teeth and all the banjo noise. You know, I wouldn't have a damn problem with what you were saying if you would quit slurping the guy who has been calling many of us inbred rednecks for pretty much all of his 100+ posts in this thread.
