'19 TN ILB Christopher Russell (Texas A&M signee)

I just got caught up on the VQ stuff from today. Ageelaw (Lawyer in Dyersburg) and LupoVol (Owner of resturant our coaches were at yesterday) both said his brother was offered a PWO spot and it was not taken well. Ageelaw said he was disrespectful to the coaches yesterday too.

Also, LupoVol says the Dyersburg coach and our coaches are not to blame. He said Dyersburg’s coach has tried to encourage the visit and thinks Russell is making a mistake not taking it. He went on to say the dad is not an issue either.

Ageelaw says Russell was offended he camped with us and was not offered.

All said, tifwiw.
Sounds like 3 star pre-madona to me.... Cya

Henderson can get financial aid, just not an athletic scholarship this year. He'd have the opportunity to earn one as a walk-on. He wasn't getting SEC offers before he tore his ACL, so he's certainly not getting one with his recovery uncertain. A&M only has a few spots left. Jimbo's not giving one to Henderson just to get Russell.
Would you please quit changing your AVI?

Are people really complaining about the 2019 class? Even if we miss the linebackers, how do you complain about this class? Other than maybe Means who the coaches really seem to like, there isn't a reach in the class. It will have bookend 5 star offensive tackles, not to mention the studs Pruitt signed for the interior line. It will have the best player in the country, imo, in Crouch. One of the best running backs in the country in Gray. One of the best receivers in the country in Keyton. One of the best QB's in the country in Maurer. The best juco DL who has 3 years to play in Williams. It has quite possibly the best DB class in the nation with Tank and the boys. This is an elite class, even if the rankings don't necessarily show that. One of the reasons the rankings won't show that is because we're going to take less players than those above us. But the class will still finish around 12th, barring a surprise that moves it higher like Pickens. I bet our average will be top 10, which is the most important thing anyway, after Wright signs. I wish that we would've done better at DL and at LB. But at DL we signed some juco guys who can hopefully provide instant impact and we also signed an elite pass rusher in Harrison. At LB we signed Crouch. We could have done better there but all that means is that we have to nail those two positions in the 2020 class.

I don't see how in the world anybody is complaining about this class.

It seems like you were talking about how the finish stinks yesterday...

This signing day is shaping up just like last year. Had a great early signing period with big targets (Carvin, Banks, DWA in 2018, Crouch, Gray in 2019) but stumbled down the stretch failing to make any headway with a major target. Well land Wright who, just like Peterson last year we all knew was coming, but won’t add anyone of note.

Stinks

Do you really think I'm saying the class stinks? Or am I saying that it stinks that we won't add anyone (i.e. Chris and Henry) during this signing period, similar to last year? It really isn't hard to understand there chief.

Ok buddy. Keep talkin' out both sides. Maybe a career in politics?

And yet is that not still complaining about the class?
What if it's a horse race and your horse takes off and gets a huge lead and is leading all the way to the last turn and then the field catches him and he wins by a nose? You could like the results but not like the way the horse finished.

While I applaud your effort it doesn't quite equate to Bass' posts.

Don't bother. He doesn't care. He has his narrative. Channeling his inner Bruin today for some reason.
