Lol..when the rumor of him not being on the directory came out, I reached out to mama Jennings. I have always understood the plan to be NFL and was kind of just waiting on the announcement. She has not told me anything different. She certainly would have to...

I work in the same industry as mama Jennings and keep in touch with her. We also have a close mutual friend.

When you posted that the other day it didn't come across you trying to get recognition for being an "insider" to me. Seemed like you were genuinely passing along info you had.

It’s all good...I’ve been around a while and never had any info. Loved meeting mama Jennings and she spoke openly about Jauan’s plans. The story about him not being enrolled jived with what I was told. Nothing more than that...I’m a fan, I want him back and am very impressed the staff got him back(once official)

Very true. The original plan was to leave after Junior year, but the broken wrist/train wreck of Butch's ending threw a wrench in those plans. I think nagging injuries and lack of production this year led him to rethink leaving now. Great day for the good guys!!!!!!!! Excited to see him in Chaney's offense. Here's hoping he can stay healthy and blow it up this year.

Here's an idea that might cut down on the flippantly-posted baseless rumors:

Every time an OP is proven to be false, they're reported.

First false rumor report is a freebie; everyone makes mistakes.

Second false rumor posted earns the poster a 2-day ban from the forums.

Third false rumor get the poster a 3-week ban.

Fourth false rumor results in a 4-month ban.

Fifth false rumor gets him a 5-year ban.

Combine that and a return of the 100-post minimum to start a thread, and we'd see the baseless rumor threads diminish in no time. :)
