Except the vast majority of people in generations end up sharing a lot of qualities. I'm guessing almost everyone in your generation would also agree that "conformity sucks," which is ironic haha.

Except that generational gaps of 25 years or even 15 years aren’t really sufficient anymore. As Jordan said above, I was born in 1980 at the edge of the millenials. As I have said before, I had never heard that term until the last 8-10 years, maybe. But I don’t have much in common with people born in 1995. The improvements in technology have made generations smaller. People born in 1995 might have had desktops and laptops in the home when they were 5 years old. Not really the case for people born in 1980.

Generations are just a de facto way for people to be grouped by those who study civilization.

That's the old, tired argument against segmentation. "The extreme end of one generation is very different from the extreme end of that same generation so grouping people into generations is stupid." Yes, because culture doesn't shift instantly overnight, putting an arbitrary line in the sand of time will not be a perfect science to dustinguish one group from another. The people in the transitional years will share some characteristics with both their generation and the one they're transitioning to/from. That doesn't mean the system doesn't work, it means it's impossible to make something so complex into something black and white, but it still works pretty well.

For instance, your comfort with technology is going to be vastly better than a typical Gen X, if you were born in 1980 and didn't grow up in some sort of weird circumstance like being Amish. It's not about growing up with a laptop vs a desktop vs a mobile device, it's about growing up with a computing device, even something like Nintendo or Atari. That's one of the core differentiators of being a millennial. As is the overwhelming desire not to be grouped into generations because you believe you're unique :) See, you're more of a millennial than you thought!

no more staff turnover rumors?
Sounds like Tee Martin will be added but not likely until after NSD. Weinke and/or Johnson are likely gone but that also won't likely happen until after NSD but could happen anyday now depending on where they end up. Still some rumors out there that Pittman could join the staff as well.

Wait what? Tee is likely? I thought that was a long shot. Surely he could get an OC job somewhere right?

Probably like working in a mail room on steroids. It is relentless and never ends.
It will be all done by AI before long anyway. Also truck driving and many other jobs will be lost to robots and AI. I wonder what jobs are going to be left for actual people to do. How are people going to make money when the jobs are taken away.

Sign me up to work for Amazon lol. Yeah they work you to death, but managers make bank there.

I don't get the complaints about Amazon beiing hard work, it's not, it's an easy job, try working in manufacturing. They are very demanding and it's all about the overhead, they are it, they can't push it onto anyone else so they have to push workers. Work is work, fast food is an awful job, customers screaming at you for no reason and you have to take it because you may need the job. Working in construction where it could be freezing and your still outside. I feel like Amazon pays workers good money for a decent work. I saw an article where a reporter went to work and was saying she was crying, from what the first time you actually done anything in your life.....

Dude please don't start this up again, its bad enough its Monday.
What are your thoughts on Holly Warlick?

Was commenting more on the hours.....especially for salaried positions. I know a few managers who work for Amazon fulfillment centers and they make a very good salary, but they also work about 60 hours a week on the reg.

The problem for the last 40-50 years is that many parents did not raise their children.. They were afraid or too lazy to provide guidance to their children and therefore were not not very good parents which means they were responsible for what their children became.

So do you believe serial killers like Jeffrey Daumer had bad parents? Or were they born sick souls and no amount of "guidance" would have mattered anyway? I believe that each soul born on this planet is responsible for what they do and what they become.

That's like level five of the internet progression, the final progression. All AI to AI communication & decision making! Humans are just to exist and enjoy life at that point, LOL!

True that.... salaried positions always get it like that...salary non exempt is the way to go, it's rare, had it one time in my life, it was beautiful.

Watched 60 minutes last night. China is moving at a rapid pace in this. They come over here to get educated then go back over there and brainstorm. If you can somehow watch the episode from last night, I encourage it.

If we’re “pushing out” a couple guys, no need to do that until after NSD. If those guys are looking at other jobs, they may be incentivized to move as soon as possible.
