Jauan Jennings leaves Tennessee (Debunked rumor)

Big hail Mary catch makes a foot note if that was the only pass he ever caught as a Vol.
So production doesn’t matter as long as you get an occasional highlight clip. That attitude is why UT has been irrelevant for so long. Jennings’ most productive season at UT was 2016. He caught 40 passes for 580 yards in 13 games. That’s 3 catches per game for 45 yards per game. Some of you guys have gotten so used to mediocrity that you don’t even remember what a great performance looks like.

I've seen them all from Stanley Morgan to Carl Pickens. I like Jennings game. Y'all go pester someone else. And we haven't even started talking about Jennings' blocking.
That makes it even worse. You have seen greatness, but you prefer to embrace mediocrity. There is nothing quite like a talented wide receiver that somehow manages to disappear for large stretches of games.

Jennings is not an all time great player. Stating that is no big deal imo. I guess just personal preference.

Never said he is one of the all time greats nor was i advocating that he should be considered as such. He is one of the brightest points of the last two years on the field to watch. Regardless if he has disappointed some, no need to take shots at him.

Jennings has come up clutch as much as anyone given the circumstances. You've had your say. I choose to regard him as I do. You haven't swayed me. Nor I suppose I you. Go get your Transfer Portal username.

Yes. Nothing says clutch player quite like 3 catches for 45 yards per game in the most productive season of a career.

My judgment hinges on big plays. I'm not a bookie or a pro scout. I'll take my favorites thank you.

Saying he is one your favorites is quite different than your original statement which was that he was an all time great. Fans can like individual players for all kinds of reasons. However, no legitimate argument can be made that a wide receiver whose best season at UT was 3 catches and 45 yards per game qualifies as an all time great at UT.

Let's cut to the chase on this semantics. I consider him an all-time great. If you weren't so busy arguing you would have noted my basis which has been stated.

Jennings is a player that has made a few highlight plays over his career, yet he has never produced at a consistently high level. If he were to leave, he would go down as just another player that underperformed at UT.
He hasn't had much of a chance. Dobbs couldn't pass, last year we didn't pass. When he gets the chance, he's a beast. Even when he ain't getting the ball. Hes blocking like a mad man

Do you really think JJ is what’s wrong with UT?
STFU
Anyone can see his ability. Put him on a good team in the Big 12 and he’s knocking out 1200 yards a year.

I love JJ but I don't see this. He can go up and get the ball and he can fight for yards but he's not the quickest guy and that cuts down on a lot of his YAC ability and just getting separation in general.

Not sure I understand why this paragraph closed the story:

"It is unclear if Jennings will elect to come back for a redshirt senior season in 2019, as he can still enroll in classes for the current semester. Spring 2019 semester classes begin today at UT."

Has until Monday to enroll. After that, too late

I get what your saying, but you have to think about the types of offenses and qbs hes been under. He could be a lot more productive.

Hope he eventually ends up in both college and pro hall of fame. But based on on field ,and some off field issues, he has not been a top receiver. Yep his QB’s have been less than stellar so who knows. Seems like the majority of nfl players weren’t household names while in college, he will fit in there. Wish him the best, hope he stays, balls out, and proves all the love from the teenagers who think he hung the moon are correct.
