Ok my tea leaves say: Chaney
My reasons are.
Hyams -
My point every time it’s proposed moving YAC to RB’s. I remember when Weinke was hired that some thought he’d be better there. When our WR’s have jag coaching them, it shows. This season was the best taught group since the Fulmer days imo. This all day long.
Watch how much better YAC’s coaching gets when Tee starts delivering him Top100 WRs.
And there is no real “coaching” of RBs. Dudes can either see the hole and hit it, or they can’t.
i don't think PIttman comes here, no matter what happens to Chaney. i think it would be more likely that Bama pushes hard for Pittman, and if he leaves Athens, it's for Tuscaloosa. They have almost resigned to their fate with Chaney over on the UGA boards. They REALLY don't want to lose Pittman also. Would be so big to get both of those guys back to Knoxville. UGA fans would have a come apart if they lost Chaney and Pittman. Wonder how Cade Mays would feel if they guys that got him to Athens head back to Knoxville after a year?
agree. i think DJ is a pretty good coach. if you're going to retain him, he likely stays put at WR coach. i don't think having Tee as WR coach would be a huge drop off and you get the benefit of his recruiting. My point every time it’s proposed moving YAC to RB’s. i agree with this, though i don't think he was looking to backfill 2-3 positions after year 1, hence maybe the willingness to look around a bit?
dunno. all the talk about Tee coming with Sark/chaney, or whatever, i think Tee is more likely with an internal promotion.
i don't think he wants to change a ton on this staff. and if he is, he might have to look at hte fact that he has 2 LB and 2 DB coaches.....if there's a place to even out the #'s, it's more likley on defense, if you don't want to get rid of anyone on the offense, AND you want to bring in Tee (or anyone else for htat matter).
the speculation today is running rampant, and that's fine, got nothing better to do.....but i think in the end, the simplest soluition is probably the most likely.
Last night Bogle told our coaches in a group text he was committing. Henderson a few days before he commited to Florida same thing, Recruiting is so fickle and with twitter, instagram, you have so many ppl in your ear. I like DW's approach to his recruitment, seems to be doing it the right way.
