I am sure this was posted at some point, but I can't remember because this thing has gone on so long....But @Atlanta VOL's traveler reference could be a veiled nod to the USC mascot who's name is Traveler and thus could apply to either Sark and/or Tee. Just thought I would throw that out there (again?) and see if it sticks.
If he wants an NFL job — so be it. Move on CJP even if you are interested. He will jump in a heartbeat if he wants an NFL job.I really think this is the case. I think Sark has told CJP that he would like some time to gauge NFL internist, and maybe its nothing surfacing for him so he is circling back around to Tennessee.
All the other "interviews" are just smokescreens..It's always been Chaney. Said that right after AVs post. He made it super obvious with Stay Puft, but everyone thought it was some national treasure type riddle, when he was actually making it easy for us to figure out. I'm guessing Chaney wanted to coach through Georgia's bowl game with no distractions. I suspect he will be announced this week. Probably "tomorrow".
Except he formed his staff to backfill. He already has guys he trusts and wants to put on-field. So going outside to fill multiple positions is only going to encourage guys he trusts, who trusted him, to consider looking around. Then he could end up with fewer guys he's worked with and trusts and a higher risk of impacting staff chemistry. IDT he wants to mess with what's working.

La,
You've said you didn't think Pruitt would get along with Chaney. According to Hyams Fulmer likes Chaney and Pruitt respects him.
If we hired Chaney would that be a sign of Fulmer's mentoring/guidance?
Do you think Chaney is a no go for Pruitt?
i agree with this, though i don't think he was looking to backfill 2-3 positions after year 1, hence maybe the willingness to look around a bit?Except he formed his staff to backfill. That's good to hear. I think adding some cool ranch might balance out theIt's not that I think they wouldn't get along-- I just think they'd have some things to work through. Chaney wants to be in the booth; Pruitt thinks the OC should be on the field next to him. Chaney's not a big on-the-road recruiter, and Pruitt's looking for that. Chaney's laid-back and Pruitt's emotional and aggressive. Chaney has a lot of experience-- he's not like Helton.
Chaney is a super nice guy and he's always been adaptable. No reason it couldn't work to everybody's advantage, if they want the same thing and are willing to compromise.
