Pruitt didn't trust Helton because his play calling sucked not because of experience.
Exactly. When your HC is basically controlling the defense and in a presser has to state well I guess I am going to have to pay more attention to the offense after a game, that alone shows that he lost the confidence in Helton’s play calling.
He wants someone he doesn’t have to babysit who will call the game the way it needs to be called so he can focus on the defense. Just like Saban and Smart.
