I remember having a tough year when I was 19, becoming a man. My spirit got shaky then. But I rebounded and have been the fun positive guy for nearly 30 years ..... until this year. Barely keeping my shat together nowadays. Lol

Buddy I lost we followed recruiting religiously since we were 12. He has a 14 year old son I need to look after but it’s hard when your grief is massive

I understand massive grief - I lost a child. My 2 year old daughter needed me and that’s what got me up off my knees and kept me from just running away. That was 35 years ago.

I think Friends reason for not wanting the OC job is exactly what happened to Helton, fail and Pruitt has to let you go, I could be wrong but I don’t see anyone on the current staff becoming the OC.
I agree on Friend, but Osovet wants it or he would have never let his wife post those tweets.

Sorry to hear that. This also puts all this in perspective. Prayers.

You're a good man. Watch after that kid and keep him on the right path.

After taking some time off during the holidays, Pruitt has worked the search this week. He’s had conversations with people. He visited with his offensive staff early this week. He has also spoken with Steve Sarkisian in some capacity. Some close to Sarkisian believe he would prefer to stay in the NFL if the opportunity presented itself, but it’s not a given he has that chance.

On Wednesday, Pruitt visited with Matt Canada but sources say Canada is not the direction that Pruitt is expected to go.

Pruitt didn’t visit with anyone on Thursday as he and his staff spent the day watching recruiting tape for the class of 2020 before returning to the road after the dead period.

One name that has re-emerged and continues to linger is UCF quarterbacks coach Jeff Lebby. It’s been almost a month since Pruitt interviewed Lebby and most thought that ship has sailed, but multiple sources have told Volquest that is a name to keep an eye on.

Elsewhere, Tennessee and Tee Martin have had conversations but it’s unclear what that role would entail or how serious those conversations have been. One source told Volquest that it could feature a co-offensive coordinator title. Martin is also in play at Louisville as the wide receivers coach. Georgia Tech is a potential landing spot for Martin as well.

The question is who else has Pruitt talked to? Are other names out there as well? All of that is to be determined, likely in the next week, as we expect the search to be over before the dead period ends a week from today.

@Atlanta VOL is Lebby seriously a legit candidate?!?!

My initial reaction is, I don't care anything about Tee being CoOC; but, I'm all for him being on this staff...just another elite recruiter, with VERY STRONG ties in California. He's a big fish when it comes to that.

Inb4, "anybody can recruit at USC"; in the 2 yrs he was at Ky, Tee landed Glenn Faulkner and Darrian Miller, 2 of the highest rated prospects Ky has signed in the last 20 yrs.

Had my 1st daughter die at birth and my 3month old died this month last year. I get it man. I have a 3 year old daughter now as well. Despite the events, the Lord is faithful. Pressing in deeper.

How do we go from only having space for one coach to hiring two coaches. I call it hogwash.

It very well may be; definitely out of nowhere. Still would like to have Tee, somewhere (position coach, but where? 🤔 I like all our coaches now), so that dude can go out on the road for us.

I know a number of folks are dealing with this. In the early stages with my dad. Any interest in a new thread? I know I could learn from the experiences of others. If so, I’ll start something up in the pub and tag a few folks. Praying for all of you.
I would gladly share what I've learned. My mom started exhibiting symptoms probably 8 years ago. Very subtle at first. Hers has progressed very slowly but she is considered advanced stage now. Let me know if you start a thread.
