They’re talking about Clemons. I don’t think anyone from UT would really consider it a true flip, but the Memphis media was playing it up big time all day.

No he said having good players matters more. He said nothing about head coaches offensive theory.

The thing that is frustrating to me about today is that it felt like we were still working from behind the 8 ball. We were making all these late pushes for big-time players that came up short, just like last year. Last year that was understandable with a new staff scrambling to get things in order for ESD. This year we should not have been in that position. We also struck out at WR (Keyton is big time obviously, but I'm talking Haselwood, Brown, Ellis, Payton) and end up taking a much lower rated guy who, aside from us, was considering Rutgets, UConn, and Kansas. It just feels like the staff badly mismanaged WR recruiting outside of RK. And I have a hard time getting past our DE recruiting. We whiffed on several in-state guys (Anderson, Norton, Logue, Cormantae Hamilton). Then today we whiffed on Eboige and Figueroa. I know Middleton will be in play there, and some say S. Brown could end up at DE (though I'm not really buying that). Maybe Harrison? I just would have felt a lot better about that group with at least one big-time pure DE from the high school ranks. It feels to me that recruiting for this position was also mismanaged, especially passing on Anderson early and then trying to come back around to him late.

I know this is 8 hours later but this is no different than the UGA boards except a LOT more profanity over there. They lose Fields 2 days ago, magically poop the 2nd DT qb and flip him from Ohio St, land 5 5*s and the majority felt it was a bad day on dawgnation. Why? They missed on Sanders and Neal. We aren't that different of a fanbase in the respect that we flip out on the misses and overlook the hits.

That type of "bad day" is not the type of "bad day" that TN has been having for over ten years. Not the same category. They're worried about national championships; TN is trying to stay on the field with Vanderbilt.

If you were over there, you would think they were having a meltdown. Only difference is they put out their dumpster fires with 5*s and still balk.
