Since being fired by President Donald Trump as secretary of state, Rex Tillerson has kept a very low profile. But on Thursday night in Houston, Tillerson broke that silence in a big way.
Here's how he described the "why" behind the breakdown of his relationship with the President,according to the Houston Chronicle:
"So often, the President would say here's what I want to do and here's how I want to do it and I would have to say to him, Mr. President I understand what you want to do but you can't do it that way. It violates the law."

He certainly did.
Just as if he said, "don't throw that baby in front of a moving train." That would also be proper guidance.
I think the point is that he found himself so frequently having to give that guidance.

I wonder-- was Trump was painting a slightly different portrait of Tillerson at the time?

I’ve looked, I think more people were interested in making me a social butterfly than respecting my privacy in churches. I stopped looking after that.

I've never been to a Catholic funeral. I'm afraid they would make me eat fish or something.

Ok, so explain how you read away the parenthetical:

Any alien who is physically present in the United States or who arrives in the United States(whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), irrespective of such alien’s status, may apply for asylum in accordance with this section or, where applicable, section 1225(b) of this title.
