So now you have to "adapt" to not run to the line of scrimmage.
Sorry guys, I knew better. Sometimes after a couple of days of normal conversations with others, I just start thinking everyone is capable.

Charger

One of the biggest reasons teams use pace is to keep defenses from being able to change personale. Slowing down the pace would eliminate one of the key ways Briles has gained an advance in his scheme

Here is my point

Houston was at a play for every 21 seconds

Clearly Bama doesn't play with pace. Georgia certainly doesn't either
A thing that you also have to look at, those are the best teams in America and for the majority of their 4th quarters they were milking the clock and playing keep away. I would like to see those numbers in the 1st half’s.

And Bama runs the spread at a slower pace, without substituting as often. It's not that big of an adaptation.
Oh, and it seems to work just fine.

That's a good point.
We will never know but imo we just think Bama is playing faster. They are scoring faster but not playing faster from what I see

Maybe Pruitt is looking at the fact that 3 of 4 playoff teams are in the Top 5 of Scoring Offense and has decided scoring points might be of premium importance?

My thoughts as well. 3 yards and a cloud of dust (even tho we rarely managed 3) might not be the way to go...
