Basically there is no significant correlation between tempo and defensive efficiency. Hire Yurcich if you can get him and let's ride. Screw tempo.

Will Friend is every bit as good as Pittman. That's how bad our roster is. Friend's UGA lines were the ones that Gurley ran behind. Gurley was good but you could've driven a mack truck through the space they created for him.

They have a lot of great individuals. I mean their DL are great tough individuals. Their LBs are the greatest individuals at their positions. Their CB give 63 effort and are much older individuals than us so we really have our hands full. Their safety's have outstanding individual eye discipline

FWIW...someone mentioned a few days ago the potential candidate was the 'traveler', been a lot of places, SEC experience, may or may like him... 'Traveler' is USC's mascot name...there's a coach, has been at USC, has been a lot of places, has SEC experience, and would require a ton of PR prep...Lane Kiffin. Probably not accurate, but who knows at this point.

I never thought we would be going into Thursday without an OC hire. That being said, I like some of the names that are being considered. Freeze is without a doubt a really good offensive mind, but he's not the only one. Also it would be great to have a coach come in with little or no baggage, an upbeat hire. Seems like when Sexton is involved, we come out badly. Just don't trust that guy.

Baggage or no baggage, Kendell Briles is probably the sharpest offensive mind out there right now. The more I hear about Yurich, the more he sounds like a good choice. Same for Canada. Can't wait to hear Pruitt's choice.
