I had a genuine heartfelt discussion about his STATS...particularly a Justin Martin detail. Miffed...I’d say he got miffed. 😉

No way to know this for sure, but I think it’s possible Hugh isn’t being interviewed for the OC role. I’m just thinking out loud. Because I don’t think Alabama would offer it to him either.

Cecil Hurt was on sportstalk on Friday and he made it pretty clear that Alabama had no interest in an on field role for him last year. He was going to be an intern like Butch.

I could see a scenario where Pruitt hires the guy he’s comfortable with in Lindsey, then offers Freeze some ancillary job.

Thought crossed my mind. Not sure how it would work and who that would mean would be gone if so. They would like to put Lilly in a full time role. I'd love for Lilly to take over TEs but neids is so critical in recruiting. Lilly one of best TE coaches there is and a big time recruiter himself. Landed some studs under a Richt

I do too.

I’m just saying it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility that, if Pruitt likes what he hears from multiple candidates, that he tries to hire two of them.

Of course, that would be seriously dependent on the amount of money we’re willing to throw around.

That’s my opinion of Alabama as well. No reason to hire Freeze to a position over Enos.

Agree. If he wants to play in the NFL, he needs to start somewhere next year. That won’t be Bama, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Alternatively, he could redshirt next year at Bama and play in 2020, but that doesn’t make much sense because (a) it puts his career off for a year and (b) there’s still no guarantee he starts in 2020 (not that there is a guarantee he starts wherever he transfers either, but at least he’s only projecting a depth chart a few months out).

Could not disagree more. There is a clear difference in the 9th best and 5th best

The 5th is a 1 loss team and your just picking one conference over another

All power 5 champs in. The next best 3. You remove all regional bias. Get all champs in. You have representation from the whole country. ANd you get the 3 spots for elite teams that don’t win their conference.

Agree Hurts will not be at Bama next yr imo. He deserves a shot somewhere. It doesn't make sense to redshirt with another tag and Bryant's grandson coming in as well.

Enos sold him on staying and getting a full yr of QB coaching. If Enos leaves Hurts will probably follow. If Enos stays, Hurts and Kiffin will be one to watch. Kiffin loves Hurts. Hurts would fit a lot of what Miss St, Florida are doing. Florida St probably would try. If we got Freeze we would be an option as well.

Yeah but is there is a clear difference between 8 and 9/10?
What about 16 and 17/18.

The argument is never between 2 and 5.

I loved his catch phrase though...check my stats. It was good, along the lines of, whatcha gonna do?? and...if you smell what the rock is cooking..lol. well, maybe not as good as those. Quality though, still good quality for a volnationer

That would be unusual-- you would think Freeze would just be begging for the job/a job... he may "want" to bring someone, but if it causes too many issues I'm sure he'll eliminate that "clause"...

That’s actually a very important detail I overlooked. Excellent point in TAs favor. Kid could have put up stupid numbers if he played in the 4th quarter at all the first 3/4th of the year.
