That's contradictory. If the play was there because it is designed for punt safe then the snap doesnt matter as the defensive formation is the same. Not fully being in punt safe or lined up wrong is irrelevant to that point. Catching them off guard seems to be the argument. except they didnt. It's a great play design if the punt team isnt looking for it. They were and Bama maintained their assignments and you know the result. So I'll disagree with you there.

The play is designed to be run quickly before the defense recognizes it. It was still a mistake, but not because it is a bad play. The mistake was in the execution

They would have caught them off guard if they would have snapped it sooner.

Conference championships generally do a fair job at narrowing things down. The system will never be perfect

Needs to stay at 4 teams from now until eternity. If you add to it, the regular season will become devalued. If you make it 8 teams, then number 9 and 10 will be complaining. If you're not in the Final Four, shut up and get there next year.

I disagree. Would heat up the regular season trying to qualify. Beyond that number then it’s silly. I agree it should stay 4, but it’s a genie bottle reality with the money.

So here’s what I woke up to this am in our text thread.

Fulmer (obviously) and Pruitt were at the game last night and definitely interviewed Enos after the game. That’s what Brice’s tweet was about. Also, Freeze was on campus until about 5pm but he AND Pruitt met with Gray and Freeze even stayed with Gray after Pruitt left. That part strikes me very odd if he’s not the OC already. Anyway, that’s what I got. Happy Sunday morning!
