Freeze says to AD to Hire Him, "I've been able to take programs and turn them around quickly in all cases."

You pay for it with a GF or a wife. Gotta buy them dinner. Take them for entertainment. Gifts. Etc.

If you did a cost/benefit analysis between a prostitute and a girlfriend......the prostitute wins every time (on paper).
I’ll talk to my accountant about preparing one for me

Speaking from my perception of looking at this in terms of morale,

I want Freeze. He is a proven winner and recruiter. Would bring positive buzz at an important time.

Dude from Auburn: No. Just no. Their offense was awful. This to me sounds like a bad plan.

Dude from NC State: Sounds like our typical hire. Bad idea in my opinion. Did OK at non SEC conference. Most likely imo, but not someone I would feel excited about.

John Gruden: Might finally happen. I hear he likes Knoxville.

Kiffin: Anyone suggesting this should not be allowed to post.

Didn't have to try hard to see that winning is what matters.

Trust me, I know college football is a dirty business. But a fanbase can't hide behind the Penn St. mess as a reason to not hire a coach (even though the real reason was the fanbase didn't want Schiano) and turn around and hire Freeze, IMO.

Just by your words, totally two different situations. What you had in parentheses was the majority reason, as you stated. Different circumstances to Freeze.

So, if butchna in TX had questions about Schiano how in the world did this slip by the NFL and numerous other positions? Here's his resume:

1988 Ramapo HS (NJ) (assistant)
1989 Rutgers (GA)
1990 Penn State (GA
)1991–1995 Penn State (DB)
1996–1997 Chicago Bears (defensive assistant)
1998 Chicago Bears (DB)
1999–2000 Miami (FL) (DC)
2001–2011 Rutgers
2012–2013 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2016–present Ohio State (associate HC / DC)
You quoted me...did you read? His RECORD did not impact my rejection. Without that allegation arising BUTCHNA would’ve been perfectly willing to give him his shot...not speaking for anyone else. Reasons I cited in that fun thread were him being around Urban’s process and that the Tampa Bay Bucs job was his first true failure and sometimes great coaches (like Saban and BeliCHICK) need to experience a modicum of such to recognize what works and doesn’t. All went out the window when the court transcript leaked. I didn’t want to apologize for and defend a HC we hadn’t even hired yet! So quit getting paint on my shoes with that wide brush. I prolly qualify as an outlier but it took more than the fans who rejected his record exclusively to block him. Large number of that contingent were activist UT students like my liberal niece who couldn’t identify a damn football in a lineup and business owners and politicians who do a better job of pretending. We’re in a better place that he’s not running our program...fair or not.

Losing 8 mil in salary not counting endorsement deals ain't skating in this neck of the woods pardner. You'd do your best to smooth it over too if you was in the man's shoes. Tyndall didn't violate any rules while here either. Best re-check your sources.
Yeah that is correct.... he wasn’t caught here but their were rumblings that it was just a matter of time..

It's hard to understand when you suck at it
That was mean, hurtful, and inconsiderate of my feelings, which have been crushed by your obvious superior understanding of not only sarcasm, but all things everywhere. I bow to your omnipotence and sheer awesomeness.

If Alabama was trying to hire him and somehow the SEC prevented it, then it's a gift served up on a golden platter that we now have the opportunity.
I agree. Everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second chance in life. I sure wouldn’t have been successful without being given multiple chances. Tennessee has made tons of mistakes over the past decade and deserves a break to come their way. A good OC to go along with CJP’s defensive prowess would be a good start. CNS missed out on CHF and ended up with CBJ last year. That in and of itself is funny when you think about it. Maybe just maybe something good could happen for Tennessee for a change. I doubt it but just maybe.

I can forgive. The guy got caught and paid a steep price. My problem with Freeze is that the minute he walks on campus he's actively looking for his next gig. One or two years and he's gone.
You could say a similar thing about Pruitt. But, as long as they leave the program better than they found it, I'm for it.

Listen ole buddy. I threw his name out before the season in one of those fun “who would you hire” threads and maintained that pick throughout the doomed season (fully aware of his coaching record) UNTIL!!! That alleged detail got leaked and I was OUT OUT OUT. It wasn’t because I found him guilty before I even read about the whole mess...it was the QUESTIONS. Didn’t want em because they would be asked...ad nauseum. By the same pious media that condemned us for rejecting him. So don’t apply your truth to every one of us. The unproven allegation made me happy that our mass of hypocrisy kicked him to the curb. I’ll try to be fairer in another life...promise.

I've been catching up on this thread, I was 4 pages behind. I stopped on this post.

I've already given my opinion on all of this, twice, but I can't stress one thing you said enough. "So don’t apply your truth to every one of us."
