He has been a head coach. My guess is that he will want to try that again.

But, if we get two productive years out of him, it will move us in the right direction.

However, he has baggage. And that may cut him out for UT.

If you actually realize what the NCAA nailed Ole Miss for, it wasn't much. There was no huge smoking gun (ala Logan Young, Cecil Newton, etc.); it was mostly a bunch of minor crap that accumulated. It was Bama grads that ran and managed the OM investigation. OM was guilty of beating Bama in back to back years.....

With that being said, there was obviously cheating going on beyond what the NCAA actually found....

It couldn't have been much worse than what Pearl did while at UT because the penalty is about the same in both cases.

We watch a lot of great athletes busting their butts and are not allowed to get paid for their services. We can go on and on about their free education, but this is a huge money making business and these kids are exploited for our enjoyment.

There is no telling how crooked some programs are run or how much money is given on a pay for play basis, but we want to get on our high morality horse any time someone gets caught.
