It’s probably the Haslams who have a “problem” with it, because they have a problem with winning. These are what i for sure know:
-Freeze really wants the job.
-Pruitt has interest in hiring him.
-A couple “power players” are hesitant about his past and what SEC/NCAA/Media could say about it.
-early signing day is coming up and freeze isn’t busy and can be on the road recruiting ASAP, no buy out etc.
I feel comfortable enough in saying i believe Freeze will be on campus at some point this week and meet with who he needs to do to try and “prove he’s ready for a shot” per say.
The “trot” couldn’t be stronger if it was a pony
How are you glazing over the worst offenses in Florida history when he was running the show. An offense so easy “his dog could play QB”, but his quarterbacks were awfulWhy do you say that? He checks all of what I perceive as Pruitt’s boxes are:
- experienced play caller
- highly successful (2 nattys and a Heisman as a play caller)
- ball control, pro style offense in the mold of circa 2010 Alabama
- has worked on staff with Pruitt before
- understands the “Saban” method having served under him for 4 years
- has the experience and is capable of owning his own side of the ball so that Pruitt can concentrate on the D
Yeah but also with the players. What are you doing now offensively?
Our offense finally starting becoming a little more explosive after 8 years of building great depth in the trenches and on the defensive side of the ball. Now we reload on defense and started really focusing on offense the last several years. So it does not happen over night.
