McDlendon would be dynamite from a recruiting standpoint. I'd have to learn more about him as far as credentials on the field to be sold.

I love you, man. Just need chilax from time to time. It's never as good or as bad as it seems.

I don't know brother...It's been pretty dang bad to be a Vol, and everytime I think it can't get much worse..it does. I just want to be a good solid football team...forget championships...just play good solid ball... and don't quit, and always play hard, and give it their all...you know..actually do like the sign says.

If they're in a hurry because if the early signing period that's a mistake. I thought we learned our lesson about hiring quickly to salvage a signing class. Do your due diligence and hire the best man for the job. Don't pench pennies either. A savings of $500K now has the potential to cost you millions later.

Why? As other’s have explained before, Pruitt wants it done his way with his style. Friend is his guy. He’ll run the style he wants. At least see if it works.

Too many correlations being made to CBJ, and hiring him just reminds folks of Larry Scott.

But it makes a lot of sense, and not for the usual dumb reasons. At least friend had actually called plays before lol.

And it keeps the most continuity. Which, unfortunately, is probably pretty important right now.

Freeze was never realistic. Neither is kiffin or Kingsbury...

Move weinke to qb coach, and hire a new stud recruiter as a running back coach, and decide if friend is gonna pull double duty as ol coach & OC, or if you need to hire a new ol coach.

I don't blame people having a problem with his rep. At the same time unless your willing to promote him to HC (which they shouldn't) taking a week of media attacks for the hire seems like an even trade

First year coaching staffs always have shakeups always have always will. I think we have an excellent opportunity for an upgrade here. Whether we get one is a different story. I'm hopeful.

I’ll be pretty dang happy if he’s as good as Debord was. Pair that with a Pruitt defense and in 2/3 years we’ll be competing for the east
