First year coaching staffs always have shakeups always have always will. I think we have an excellent opportunity for an upgrade here. Whether we get one is a different story. I'm hopeful.
Yeah...I'm not gonna hold out that hope...that's a nutpunch waiting to happen.

Edit: I just don't think it will he anybody that will make everybody happy, that doesn't mean it it won't be a good hire though...just that the anti- Pruitt bitchin and moanon will get worse.

Should it make us feel better that Fulmer is helping with this decision and he has been exactly where Pruitt is and made the wrong decision?

Any chance you think it goes through?

These are what i for sure know:

-Freeze really wants the job.
-Pruitt has interest in hiring him.
-A couple “power players” are hesitant about his past and what SEC/NCAA/Media could say about it.
-early signing day is coming up and freeze isn’t busy and can be on the road recruiting ASAP, no buy out etc.

I feel comfortable enough in saying i believe Freeze will be on campus at some point this week and meet with who he needs to do to try and “prove he’s ready for a shot” per say.

Maybe if Pruitt could convince the administration to bring Freeze in as a QC coach for a year. Then if everything goes well transition him to OC. Give friend or Osovet the OC job and let freeze be heavily involved in game planning.

Freeze really wants the OC job and Pruitt is trying to push him to a couple of people having snags about his rep.
Probably Skanky. Truth is Skanky only does what Saban says he can do. Saban doesn't want Freeze here so it won't be Freeze. Make me think otherwise.

I agree. And I have no explanation.

But we have a bevy of analysts on staff... One would think that's the bench for coaches....??
Your reasoning for Friend and familiarity makes sense and he definitely will fit the scheme Pruitt wants. The $ and Helton give me pause for why that move was made if he was comfortable with Friend from the start. Go find another stud recruiter from the get go and roll with him from the start.

IDK. It may work just fine but I cant help but feel like this is the expected move because of who is involved. Didnt do it the first time, cant pass him over again.

Sounds good.

Color me shocked if it happens.

Only if the offense looks equally a bad as this season. But that will be true regardless of the hire. You have confidence in Pruitt. You need to rude with that.

Why do I do it to myself haha. I just keep reading your post. Over. And. Over. Letting the hope build lol.

Yeah... Just reverting back to thinking Tennessee is going to do what Tennessee does in cases like this.

I’m not trying to get everyone hopes up but for a guy like Freeze to be wanting the job and his name already gotten around to some of the decision makers in and around UT/SEC then you would have to think their would be a formal interview/meeting whatever you want to call it.

If Pruitt really does want Freeze, that should put the Pruitt only wants a yesman bootlicker buddy theory to bed.
Not sure where that comes from anyway.

Folks projecting CBJ issues on CJP.

The only thing that should drive this decision is "what makes us better?"
