The TE’s and special teams didn’t knock you out of the water in that ONE season? Brohm must not have concurred bumping him up to OC at Western Kentucky.Certainly possible. I was never impressed with him or his units when he was an assistant coach up here at Cincinnati. He was definitely the most concerning hire for me out of all Pruitt's assistants.
I'm not so sure that isn't Brohm's dream job though, even though it's Louisville. Would have been awesome if we could have gotten him here. Really solid coach and an even better guy.Gotta be Brohm. But IMO Brohm can parlay this into a better job than L’ville. Not sure Kiffin can. Come to think of it this is perfect for Kiffin.

When an agent gets you a million plus per contract? It’s not a “disservice”.At this point you can’t really say if he’s much or any better than Debord or Bajakian were (especially if you look at consider how much lower their salaries were).
I kind of think Helton’s agent did him a bit of a disservice with his salary. $1.2 million comes with some big expectations for a coordinator. Compound that with the fact that this is his first job as OC/playcaller and it just seems like a recipe for fan/media criticism and skepticism.
Would love to get Freeze as our OC after this year.
Not sure if Helton makes it to a 2nd season here. Would bet this is the most likely staff change after the season is done.
I still haven't figured out why they had to shell out that kind of money to get him. I'm not sure either way on him yet, but it does look like they overpaid him by a hefty margin. Give me Hugh baby and get out the way.At this point you can’t really say if he’s much or any better than Debord or Bajakian were (especially if you look at consider how much lower their salaries were).

Pretty sure Pruitt told Fulmer in the interview process that he thought he could bring Hugh Freeze with him. SEC shot it down. I'd make that trade in a heart beat, and I won't be surprised if Pruitt would too if the conference will allow it.Basilio’s “Orange Throat” hinted at Helton being out at the end of the year, and being replaced with Freeze. Take that for what it’s worth. Still think Freeze would be awesome at OC, and if we want to win at the highest levels it’s what we need to do. Freeze at OC with Pruitt/Sherrer defense is a winning combination.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't think Helton has been all that bad. I think it's hard to call plays when your o-line can't run block so you're pretty much stuck on what to call.Would love to get Freeze as our OC after this year.

we didnt throw a single hail Mary. Not great.
I don’t think South Carolina is particularly good, but we have no consistent means of putting points on the board. Auburn was a fluke in that our Hail Mary passes worked and Kevin Steele, who could’ve been our head coach, didn’t adjust and play a zone to take some of that away.
At some point you have to be able to consistently get 3 yards running the football and we’ve proven we can’t do it.
