No doubt both lines are our biggest areas of need. Even with that weakness we had the Third highest points scored against Bama, and enough to beat AU.
And we scored Defensive TDs in both of those games. If not for our OL, I would feel very confident going into all of these last 5 games; however, it is still, by far, the biggest thorn in our side...we may can make a bowl in spite of it, or it may be the #1 reason we don't.

Nobody’s “unbeatable”. Bama seems to be close, but I remember that loaded 2003 Sooners team. Everybody fell all over themselves crowning them the best team ever and then they lost in the Big 12 conference championship to Kansas State 35-7 and then lost to LSU in the Sugar Bowl.
Bama, 2 yrs ago. 14-0 going into Championship game, being hailed by many as the greatest team of all time. Got beat.

They've done it before. They have made bad hires just like everyone else. There won't be another Saban fall into their lap when he retires. They'll pay any price but it might be hard to get the elite coaches to follow Saban.
He doesn't remember Dubose or Price, Franchione or Shula, not old enough. Even if he was, and he did remember those bums Bama hired, I doubt he'd bring them up...doesn't fit his endless, bs narrative of 'everyone else is great, and UT sucks'.

They didn't have elite QB play. Very different this time as long as TUA is healthy
While I agree Hurts is not Tua, he was still the SEC Offensive Player of the Year in '16.
Completed 63% of his passes for 2,780 yds, 23 TDs and 9 INTs, while also rushing for 954 yds and 13 more scores. No, he's not Tua, but he wasn't some bum either.

The team is loaded with talent, but they've only beaten 1 ranked team to date and their schedule is crazy back loaded. We'll have to see how they react when a team smacks them in the face before crowning them the GOAT. If a team with a strong defensive line pressures Tua, he may not look so great.

BTW, until the game this weekend, I never thought I'd see announcers slobber all over a QB worse than they did Tebow. I was wrong. Tua throws an easy interception that Warrior drops they say "He has no conscience" (I'm still trying to figure out what they meant by that, like a QB with 0 picks all season has been throwing into crazy coverage all year??). He airmails a wide open receiver by 10 yards and they blame the receiver. He hits a receiver whose beat his man by 3 yards on a pretty routine crossing route under very little pressure and they start prattling on about how he 'threw him open'.

Tua is a heck of a QB, but it's hard to appreciate it with announcers praising his mistakes or acting like routine throws are amazing. I think it's partially a product of this being the first time Alabama has had a great QB under Saban.
