Still taking old coaches huh?

I'm cracking up remembering stuff from the Dooley era. I guess being three coaches and six years ago makes some of it kinda funny now.

To me, the Bob Shoop rebound at Mississippi State is the clearest sign that besides letting the S&C fall apart, taking a top coordinator and forcing him into your mold instead of letting the man work, was his biggest fault

But... They didn’t. Man if only that 2016 defense could have been above average, we win The East, go 11-1 with a shot to be in the playoffs

Right Dooley is a really good offensive coach. Shouldn’t have panicked over the CU loss to WV and hired steele. That was dumb.

Yes recruiting is part of being a head coach but recruiting isn’t part of coaching. Neither was good at developing talent on the whole, but at least Dooley could develop elite offensive talent. Butch couldn’t get the best out of either side of the ball. Ergo Dooley is a better COACH. Not a better head coach but a better coach.

Our offensive broke school records in 2016 and 2015, dude. He did that with less talent on offense than Dooley too.

He got lucky to not go 3-9 in 12’. UK was awful, Troy put up over 700 yards on us.

Man the abysmal defenses we’ve seen since 2011 are really something. I was just looking at old scores. The 2012 season. That seven-game stretch from Georgia to Vandy

LOL...I almost forgot about that. Holy ****, we went almost an entire season without even attempting to field punts!

It was epically bad! No excuses for a major program. Better coaching in high school than what Palardy and Darr got from Dooley. Both got semi-fixed and played in the NFL after one season with the next coach...and Palardy just signed an extension.

The Mizzou and Troy games were especially laughable. It was like there was just this gigantic hole in the middle of the field that was ALWAYS wide open. Or if the pocket collapsed the QB was always free to pick up like 40 yards on foot, regardless of whether he could actually run or not.

Most alarming is the fact that 1-11 Akron put up 26 points against us. I need to go back and read the threads after that game.

One of the most embarrassing moments of the Dooley era was that punt return from Arkansas.

I don’t remember anything near that bad in Butch Jones era.

Chaney’s offense at UGA looks so much like his UT offense right? Lol. Mizzou offense is better this year than last. They can at least score points on Purdue and SC lol
