So what was more annoying on Sunday Night Football tonight?

Chris Collinsworth constantly calling Brady “G.O.A.T.” All night long (not even a week after Brees is shattering the G.O.A.T.’s record)

Or inexplicably saying LL Cool J coined the term, when Earl Manigault held the nickname before he was even born.
They used to slobber over Joe Montana that way. Made me want to puke.

The season is more important than one game. I wouldn't forfeit but I also wouldn't risk valuable players beyond the first quarter. Alabama is a bigger buzzsaw this year than they've been in Saban's entire time there and that's saying something. We have a team without much depth that only just now learned how to win. The last thing we need is to throw them around like they're cannon fodder.
I think CJP is still working on culture. That means we don't back down from anybody. He is going to get the team ready with the mindset that they can win and will continue to coach that way until it gets out of reach. Maybe it does not get out of reach and we compete for four quarters. I don't think we can win, but I think we fight in front of our home crowd and take another step forward.

That should be the only expectation for that game tbh. Lots of people way waaaay too high off that Auburn win.

The clock shouldn't have run after a penalty
Right...the penalty that was never thrown in the first place, yet they went to review as to whether they should throw a penalty or not. I know the rules, but IMO, if you don’t throw a flag in the first place, then it shouldn’t be reviewable as to whether a flag should be thrown or not. At the very least, the only thing that should happen is the player who targeted be ejected, but no other aspects of the penalty hold up (penalty yards and clock). JMO

I was up by over 50 points with myself having Michel and Kelce left and the guy I was playing had Mahones and Hill... I’m now losing and am likely to lose. He literally doubled up on 3 TDs. Makes me hate the Patriots even more that they allowed it to happen.
Tennessee won at Auburn. Miami won in OT. I won my fantasy game by 1. All this winning is bad news bears, I may pick us to pick bama.

... and I don’t know about that juggling Auburn touchdown. Was 100% worthy of a review.

After the initial Calvin Johnson rule non-catch, not sure how this stands

#18 for Auburn had a perfect line to snag the onside kick. I have no idea what was going through his head, but at the least, he should have made contact, but kind of drew back. Wow

But they were tigers/eagles/something
Yes, Auburn is in Alabama, too-- but I keep thinking about that next opponent. I want them to take us lightly, but with Pruitt at the helm, I doubt that would happen anyway, since Pruitt coached defense there last year.

Maybe I’m missing something - and I admitted it was an ignorant question - but I really don’t understand why we were running up the middle every first down in the second half as opposed to mixing it up and calling those runs on second down every now and then. Call something else on first down every now and then. I’m not complaining. I just don’t understand the strategy behind it.

This ain't Butch's team no more.

Pruitt knows a lot more about defense and what Hurts does on offense. He can scheme better. Not so much with Tua playing.

I just went from 1 percent confidence with Tua playing to 25 percent if Hurts plays.

Pruitt is gonna have dem boys ready to play. Try to make a clean sweep of the Alabama teams.
Volnation is bi polar. I’m enjoying this win as much as everyone else but Bama will bring you into severe depression if you are seriously expecting a win. We have a punchers chance as always. But that would take the stars aligning.

I'm with the crowd that wants us to be injury free against Bama this weekend, which happens more effectively by playing hard and smart. Everything points to this being a closer game than might have been predicted preseason if Hurts is the QB and the receivers in question are dinged up. This could be the momentum builder to run the table the balance of the season if the guys play well regardless of the final outcome.

CJP has our entire roster in the palm of his hands now. They know he knows. Real teams happen when the trust is strong.
