Hypothetical: Let's say the FBI conducts an investigation and finds that there is little credibility to Ford or any woman's allegations along with zero corroborating evidence. In this case the only thing that could carry any clout are the accusations which by the corroborating evidence is highly unlikely. What will the Democrats turn to in that case? Will they continue to hang on to the highly unlikely accusations, will they question the validity of an FBI report which they wholeheartedly pushed for or do they turn somewhere else?

From the looks of it they will be in this style of predicament after the FBI investigation is over and it will be interesting to see where they turn to next.

And let's be honest for a minute these guys are politicians. I have zero confidence that they had any interest in really getting justice for Dr. Ford. If Feinstein was truly interested in getting justice for Ford she would have brought it to the FBI immediately not sit on it for 20 days and only bring it up before a Senate committee. If Dr. Ford truly wanted justice and do her "service to society" by keeping him out of the highest courts and influence she should have brought this up a long time ago as he was being advanced into the highest of courts. These folks do not want an investigation to find the truth they only want an investigation to delay the confirmation. It's more transparent than a teenager lying to get out of something petty.

Politicians are so transparent with their intentions even when they are under the guise of they are doing this for the greater good and it's quite embarrassing that folks actually will buy into it.

Investigators will be called shills for Trump. Report will be lampooned. More time requested for a proper investigation. Rinse and repeat

Trump should go ahead and name ACB as the next nominee and lilly livered McConnell should basically state no committee discussions and that she will immediately go to the floor should Kavanaugh fall through somehow. That this charade will end next Friday afternoon.
