Kavanaugh Confirmation

That's fine. That's their prerogative. There are no standards that they're subject to in voting up or down. But let's not act like their vote is any formal vindication of Kavanaugh and that these allegations will just disappear. This will be a stain on the court for as long as he's on it. Half of America will view him as illegitimate and a partisan stooge.
Justice Clarence Thomas believes you to be quite incorrect.

You mean the guy who came out and asked that he be investigated? Seems like BK was given that opportunity like, what, 37 times yesterday and he declined every time.

We can talk criminal standards when we get in a criminal trial. Not there yet. If an employer hears that a prospective employee has a history of getting drunk and fondling women at the bar (a crime), he doesn't have to hold a trial to determine whether or not he wants to hire the guy. He can just decide that he wants to hire someone who doesn't have this reputation.
Who's making that claim? Do those people stating he has a bad reputation stand to benefit substantially from him not being hired?

So 47 have affirmed apparently.

As of late Thursday, 47 Republican senators had pledged to vote for Kavanaugh at the scheduled full Senate vote on Tuesday. The outstanding Republicans were Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Jeff Flake of Arizona, and Mike Enzi of Wyoming. Enzi is expected to vote in support of Kavanaugh, but has said he won’t announce his position until he votes.

It’s been stated that Collins, Flake, Murkowski, and Manchin are believed to be a bloc all voting one way.

R’s can lose one vote and still have the tie breaker in Pence also. There is a lot of speculation Manchin is a yes but just wants to not show his hand. If that’s true as well as the other speculation Pence’s tie breaker shouldn’t be needed.

Okay, so you went from the employer has the say so, to throwing a tantrum. Lol. Maybe you should consider throwing dirt on it or changing out your tampon, just a suggestion.

Let's hope so.

If all R's vote yes, I believe a few of those up for election in states Trump won will be allowed to vote yes

Actually the guy was being baited and instead pointed how the baiters should be doing their damn job not him. He was clear he supported whatever they chose.

Allegations will disappear because Ford will no longer be the needed. Cindy Sheehan and Sandra Fluke ring a bell.
Half will view him as illegitimate because an R nominated him.

Is this the best you got because it's really thin.

Anyone else find it ironic that Booker, a self admitted sexual assaulter of women, was asking questions during this thing? I guess the Dims just look past that huh?

BK should have been ready for his arse, "oh, I'm sorry Mr. Booker, I'm here fighting an unsubstantiated and false accusation for the very thing you are and were guilty of."

Flake is hot garbage and a never Trumper wimp so its gonna be tough to get him to not be...himself.

Since in this case the employer is the majority in Charge , that’s what they are doing , hiring the one they want and refusing to let the shareholders ( the minority party ) dictate who they want . Since you insist on this being a job interview maybe this will help you understand it better .

Wiki Edit from House Doxxes Hatch, Graham at Kavanaugh Hearing

Someone with an IP address corresponding to the House of Representatives doxxed Senators Orrin Hatch, Lindsey Graham, and Mike Lee on Thursday evening.
At about 5:13 p.m., someone with a House IP address added Graham’s personal home addresses (in DC and their home state), home phone number, cell phone number, and personal email address to their public Wikipedia pages. Senators Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee also got doxxed.

Wanna bet the Democrats, some of them at least, stage a walkout during the vote after exhausting every political trick and motion they can?

The employer will decide by Monday. The employer spent a couple of months on the decision. Cry us a river.
