That’s your opinion, but don’t get mad at me when i believe we have better OLmen on roster than schools like: Vandy, wake Forrest, Rutgers, Virginia, and whatever crappy school you want to put in there.
Our collective group of OL might have more potential than those at the schools you've listed, but I don't think you can completely shut down an argument that says our OL is the worst in P5 at this moment in time.

Are they that bad or are not doing anything to help them out?

Why do we keep going play action, why do we do very minimal timing routes, why do we insist on doing slow developing shots down field, why does tim Jordan want to bounce every run outside when there are holes up the middle. Why does Jg not move within the pocket at all.

Our OL isn’t very good. Duh. But plenty of teams in the NfL and NCAA find ways to be productive on offense with a bad OL.

Don’t act like we have the worst roster in all of P5 come on now.

Don’t misrepresent my statement because you can’t think of an answer come on now.

I’m not acting like our roster is playing in
P5. But I do think our OL performance is absolute bottom tier and have had to face a lot of good to great front 7s with it.

So who has done more with an OL like ours against our kind of competition?

I listed off multiple teams in P5 conferences that are fielding productive offenses with less talent than we have at OL (and across the board).

For instance: Syracuse is among the leaders in PPG... don’t tell me they have better talent at any position on offense than us.

Here are some teams ranked in the top 25 for yards per game:

Syracuse, wake Forrest, nc state, Colorado, arizona Purdue..... are they more talented than us on offensive? No.

Richmond actually played decent against Florida if you payed attention.
I never said he didn’t, he still wouldn’t start at Mizzou. Mizzou has a very good Offensive line, in case you haven’t payed attention.

They were the first offensive line to allow less than 3 TFL’s a game since 08, they lead the nation in fewest TFL’s allowed the past two years. They were 5th and 11th in sacks allowed the past two years. They returned all 5 starters. Sometimes I question if you follow CFB outside of UT

This is a terrible argument and you’re really stretching.

Us having a higher level of talent inn the roster as a whole doesn’t account for anything when our OL hasn’t performed at even a decent level since 2016.

Right now would you take any of those OL units over what we’ve been fielding? We may have guys with higher potential down the road...but our OL has performed on or with the worst in the country in every facet of the game this year.

Oh and just for arguments sake. Pitt allowed the 2nd fewest sacks IN THE NATION Petermans senior season. They had 3 Olinemen make all ACC. Both tackles made the top 2 teams. They were one of the top offensive linemen groups in the country. Can you atleast provide an argument as to why Richmond would start? Other than he played good vs Florida and Pitt is a crappy school there for their Oline sucks?

It’s a good thing NFL scouts don’t think like him lol

First, is this where we are? Rehashing the KC/JG argument again?

Yeah, Chryst had a better record...... AT STANFORD. Stanford has achieved or has bordered on excellence for a decade now. They've got hosses on the OL and had McCaffery/Love (can't remember, don't care, same talent) at RB when KC was there. Save the "He's proven himself to be better than JG" crap. If JG committed to Stanford, he'd be looking real good too.

That's that. Imma turn down the tone because this is a little more nuanced--

At this point, I’ll have to disagree.

Even when given time he hasn’t shown the ability to hit the deep ball the way an SEC QB should. Our receivers are always having to adjust on anything longer than 20 yards.

It takes impeccable accuracy to hit a WR in stride on a perfect throw 25+ yards downfield. That 2016 Eason-->Ridley throw was as good as it gets. Trust me as a Memphis fan and alum, Coach YAC gets is WR's to run under the ball. It's rare to find a guy that can consistently drop it in the basket from deep. Having WR's run to a spot, adjust, and make the play is YAC's calling card, and that's exactly why Anthony Miller is playing on Sundays.

Have you watched them play? It’s 3 seconds and the ball is out. That’s why they don’t give up sacks. Its what I’ve been calling for our offense to do

So you’re admitting that we have more individual talent or potential on the OL than those teams... so my whole point was... are we doing anything to help them? Scheme or QB... and i do not think we are.

Agreed, and I watch QBs from all over the country hit those throws every single Saturday.

I see JG underthrow receivers by 5-8 yards consistently, causing either incompletions or 30 yard gains instead of TDs.

I agree the line has been a problem and needs to be corrected. There have also been times he’s had adequate amounts of time and is missing receivers and costing the offense points.

KC:
For his career, he has thrown for over 1,900 yards to go with 19 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
2018 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm List
6'5''/ 239
Pro Style QB

I believe CJP prefers JG since he will have 2 more years eligibility. If KC wasn't a grad transfer, he would be the starting QB in Helton's pro style system.

Lololol the only thing this means is that 1) you're a starter on a P5 roster, or 2) your an above average G5 player.

Missouri rushers enter the weekend averaging 3.9 yards per carry, which ranks 87th out of 130 FBS programs, and the Tigers have yet to face a Power 5 defense.

Yes they are maulers up front. It’s 3 seconds and the ball is out. And that’s why they don’t give up sacks.

That’s an OC/Playcalling issue, not a “JG needs to step up” issue.

JG definitely needs to get much better. But you’re definitely stretching to act like he’s in a position where many would thrive to begin with or like there are QBs all over the country playing behind OLs who are less productive than ours has been the pst two years.

I still haven't seen the UF replay yet, but I haven't seen enough bad misses from JG this year to say underthrows are a "consistent" problem.

If there's one knock on JG, I think it's that most of his throws are absolute bullets... he doesn't have a ton of touch on shorter-medium throws. Still not enough for me to want to bench him for the back up.

Yes I’ve watched all their games. They’ve also attempted more down field passes than other SEC team, right up there with ole Miss. Their Oline is very good and Richmond wouldn’t start. He’d be 2nd string tho
