Storm troopers šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ at least we’ll look great while we get our ass kicked

I prefer the orange pants but I know that I’m in the minority.
But, our uniform choice is probably #3726 on my list of priorities for our team.
Offensive linemen is such a huge number one need that is has most of my interest in recruiting right now.

Peterman was pretty good at Pitt... they had coaching turnover and we can all agree a worse roster than us. Shurmer at vandy has outplayed JG. Does Missouri have that much better of a roster than us? Lock is playing strong under a new OC who a lot of people on here wouldn’t trust to coach their 11 year old team.

It’s nearly impossible to be objective about JG around here.

Each of those QB's played behind significantly better offensive lines.

Kyle Shurmur is a senior and has been starting since 2015. Same coaching staff entire time.

Drew Lock is a senior, playing behind the biggest OL in the SEC. Been starting since 2015.

Peterman played in a weaker conference, behind a good OL, and had started 22 games before the start of his senior season.

JG plays behind a pathetic offensive line, is on his third offensive coordinator already, and has started less than 10 games.

So again I ask, can you please point to the "a lot" of QB's who are in similar situations to JG yet are excelling?

Missouri, Pitt, or Vandy have not had better individual players on their OL that’s, nor the weapons we have. Jennings and Calloway would’ve started for every one of them. So would smith and Richmond.

If you are really going to say ā€œbiggest OLā€ .... lol. Because that matters. Those QBs have outplayed JG the entire time not just their last years. All while being at programs with lesser recourses and rosters.

Just stop finding every excuse possible

Why do you dismiss the valuable experience those guys (all seniors) had vs JG's limited experience? Or how they remained in the same system multiple years, whereas JG hasn't.

Why do you dismiss how porous our OL has been compared to theirs? I don't care about recruit rankings.... do you really think outside of Trey (who has played terrible this year) that any of our offensive lineman would start for any of those schools?

Who the hell gives a **** about receiver talent when we're running max protect vs 4-5 rushers and our QB is still getting hit routinely? We're running 3 receivers against 5-6 defenders and the QB isn't getting time to find them.

None of these are excuses. Check my post history prior to the start of the season - I was and am all for the best QB playing. But jesus Christ you honestly have to have an agenda to blame JG for this season.

He peaked against a 2016 Oregon team that had one of the worst defenses CFB has seen this side of 2010. Big whoop.

He's our backup. Either the coaches thought he'd be better and didn't realize how bad he is or (more likely) knew they had very little chance of keeping JG healthy this year.

KC:
For his career, he has thrown for over 1,900 yards to go with 19 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
2018 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm List
6'5''/ 239
Pro Style QB

I believe CJP prefers JG since he will have 2 more years eligibility. If KC wasn't a grad transfer, he would be the starting QB in Helton's pro style system.

Orange pants is my favorite as well

So what role does the QB play in his own abuse? Does situational awareness have an impact? Changing the play? Ability to check down? Getting the ball out quickly? Does JG getting hit say anything about him?
Only partially, but if we're running max protect and the RB's and TE's can't even complete a chip block, then that's not on the QB at all. Our block flat sucks right now.

If you think CJP isn’t doing everything he possibly can to win as many games this year as possible - including starting the QB he thinks gives us the best chance to win - then you’re misguided.

And KC is so good that Stanford fans were glad to see him go, and his coach encouraged him to leave.

I have never blamed JG for this season. But all these post are like man if we had this, that, and the other then JG would be great.

The reason QB is the most important position in. Football is Bc it is their job to elevate others. All i said is there are things he could be doing better (like everyone else) to help our offense. Like being more mobile in the pocket, getting the ball out quicker (which I’ve given examples on specific plays where he could’ve) and not floating or under throwing deep balls.

It’s just no one likes to hear criticism on JG for whatever reason

You are so full of crap. Our OL is one of the worst in college football...Individual potential aside they are the most discombulated, sieve like unit I've seen this year.

That’s your opinion, but don’t get mad at me when i believe we have better OLmen on roster than schools like: Vandy, wake Forrest, Rutgers, Virginia, and whatever crappy school you want to put in there.
