I don't think the stuff about her supposed fear of flying makes her allegation any less credible, but it is kind of odd. Perhaps she just didn't want to come to DC to tell the story; she wanted to "play a home game" and have them come to her. When asked why, instead of saying "because I wanted you to come to me," she mentions a fear of flying, which perhaps she actually does have but can deal with it. Just a better-sounding answer.
Congress said they would come to her, which is what was mentioned right after she said that.
I would say it made her less credible but her story makes very little sense to even consider credibility.
Credibility has nothing to do with this... not really... there are almost no facts or even contested facts.
- she was at a party/gathering with depending one which testimony, 5-7 people
- she has no idea who's house it was
- she has very little idea where the house was
- she has no idea what year or date or month
- she has no idea how she got "there"
- she has no idea how she got home even though it was miles away at the least and maybe 10-15 minute drive
- her and her best friend never discussed this, even though she ran out of the house
- her best friend says none of this happened and she doesn't know Kavanaugh nor met him
- other people from the "party" has said it didn't happen
- she was assaulted by either 1 or 2 people or assisted... but she doesn't know
- she screamed but nobody came
- she ran out of house but nobody went after her to find out what was going on, even her best friend
- she has no idea who is paying her bills
- she doesn't know if it was 1 or 2 people that assaulted or assisted
- she hasn't filed a criminal complaint
- she hasn't turned over doctors notes which would validate some of this potentially
- she says she has a fear of flying but flies all the time
